NG Model 1:400 February 2026 Release Hints

Hasn't Trump just reimposed them for 150 days at least, at 10% globally using a different mechanism. It is just more uncertainty and BS. Exactly what diecast, or anyone, doesn't need.

We've had this conversation previously over and over but as per usual evidence is selectively ignored. What you are saying is simply not true. In Jan 2025 NG announced 9 US models. They still had 7 released in March after Trump began this madness. Then they released 19 the rest of the year.
I agree.
…honestly always the same topić about the US Airlines….
Boooooring.

Like for the others collectors that are waiting the plane that is not done yet… the USA Airlines Collector can wait.

Another plan can be that someone can create a new brand only for the N Regs.
The USA collector can wait? A reminder that only B- regs are being made by NG these days. I want other countries to be made too, (especially Japan) but the US has many models that need to be made as well!

True but at the very least, the US market is still well served compared to other countries as V1:400 is focused on the US exclusively, GJ has a huge US focus and other brands are making US models too (Av400, Phoenix, Panda, HX, Patriot, Aeroclassics, HX, JC...). Granted, they might not always be at the same level of quality as NG but they are making US models.

Totally agree. It’s well served but still… subject matter can be a problem at times. NG and a variety of other manufacturers are OVERserving china, while other countries get put to the side, not just the US. The US is fine enough as is with Gemini, but for high quality modern subjects NG is just so much better. So many popular models are unmade.

Also dislike how many wishes from the rest of the world are left in “preproduction” or “approved” when all these Chinese releases keep being released month after month.

I don't really have complaints about NG's subject matter.
Their recent releases have been pretty spot on for me.

Yes I complain at times that other manufacturers often pilfer from the CRP program - but that's more of an industry problem than an NG problem.
And I'd rather that NG has smaller sets but quality sets.

“Solely” implies it’s not the one reason. These changes in releases started long before they were even considered so they can’t solely be blamed.

Now I’ve heard that there’s a new strategy coming — what exactly is to be seen, but I’m hoping the March releases will give us some clues. I’m not saying there will be more US releases, but it could be the start of a general shift in release choices. Maybe more European models or other Asian subjects they haven’t covered yet?

pinging @Starz10p Aviation on this because I know he’s awaiting more Japanese coverage from them hehe
I'd just like more diversity in general. More US releases would be good, but having more of a balance in global representation for Europe, Africa, and Latin America for example would be even better honestly. I get that China is their main market, but NG could be more diverse with their regions while still maintaining their emphasis on China. Even releasing other Japanese carriers besides Japan Airlines and ANA (special liveries) would be an improvement.

I'll believe a new strategy when I see some changes amongst the types of releases we get. Personally, I'm worried that many of the approved wishlist models will never see the light of day (far from just US releases).

Completely agree, so many places and airlines need some coverage! I really want some non special standard ANA’s, many of which haven’t even been made by NG, like their 777-300ER.

That’s been my gist lately too. Sure I’ll preach for more US stuff, even though the market is covered well, but I understand that other markets are lacking.

I'd love NG to make one, but for what it's worth, Aviation400 released an outstanding ANA 777-300ER not too long ago. It's the first international widebody model in my collection and it's amazing 💙
