NG CRP Requests

I haven't historically been a retro collector even though I want to because I just don't feel like the average Aeroclassics model is worth more than $15. Probably an unpopular opinion. But of the ~5 I own, all of their landing gear fall off just from me placing them on surfaces, almost all of them have printing errors, and the undercarriages are so under detailed (not to mention no aerials or anything) that it really just feels bad to justify paying an actual MSRP price for an Air Canada 727 with an erroneous registration and such abysmal QC that it makes Gemini look like god's gift to humankind
I could not agree more with you with this post. I avoid AC at all costs.

I assume models they can easily make straight away (like the EA L-1011s) will come first and others that need mods to the moulds (PSA L-1011, NASA SP), use moulds that aren't released yet (747s) or have difficult liveries (Wunala etc) will come spread across multiple months in the future - possibly 4-6 months
The modified fuselage will also be required for some LTU 1011s - but considering NG released the Worldways Canada anyways......

Also, in their previous release, NG annoyingly missed the red colored landing gears - such a distinctive characteristic on LTU Tristars.

Spreading the wishes across would be really really welcome. The pocket needs to be replenished enough for the next extraction 😂

Their recent Alitalia DC-10 has terrible cockpit printing. It's a shame. Their 707s fared better last month.
I pick-choose-regret many AC purchases (still nursing the bendy wing bruise from the A300 pair I bought earlier this year) , and thus this agony is reserved only only for subjects I just can't let pass, after much deliberation.

I fully agree. I find AC to be massively overrated (specially by old collectors), and they're only relevant to me because they are the only ones releasing some obscure classics no one else is willing to do. They also have a few good moulds but the annoying lack of QC and other quality issues really are simply shocking.

Anyway, back to topic!

At least you can use a red sharpie! Results will be probably the same

I strongly disagree with the latter bit - voting for models you won't buy will not be counterproductive - the models will get made - and people will buy them - just that with your vote you have supported the model. Supporting a model does not compel you to buy it - and which is why NG is providing a bonus if you voted and bought it - as they're sure about the fact that people will support models even if they don't intend to buy it.

You should encourage people to vote for models they believe must be made even if they're not intending to buy it. That supports the cause. Voting =Buying is not what NG is intending at all
Why would I spend my resources on something I have zero interest in.
I have ONLY voted for models I know I would love to, and I would want to, buy.
So why should others vote models they don't have interests in when you haven't.

NG themselves haven’t done a United 772 Evo Blue yet. The three 772s they’ve done are all Star Alliance colors
Or battleship or blue tulip, continental globe,Evo blue and the globe also has 2 engines, PW and GE. Star alliance also has 3 variations, the newest ones has blue engines with both PW and GE engines.

Just wanted to share a bit from my perspective, it seems that my wish "United EvoBlue 777-200ER PW engines" gathered quite a bit of "attention" here in the forum. This is somewhat affecting my mood not in a good way but of course, opinions are opinions and I gladly accept it. The livery and type combo has so far been made twice (with 1 hitting the shelf in 2020 as a non-ER with PW engines, and 1 will soon be available - an ER with GE). The chosen reg represents an ER with PW.

And yes another "infamous" wish I made was rhe Delta L1011-500 N767DA, which I should have included in the description "The official Olymipc 1996 carrier" but the description option was dodgy at the very beginning hence the very standard NG style was there. I would consider this to be a slight "variant" release to NG original output.

Also I did some other wishes as well, most did not receive much attention (i.e: Flydubai 737 Max 9, Air Astana 763 - last 763 pax ever made, the duo Aerolineas Argentinas (RR engines was not made before, GE was made a while ago), Titan Airways Cargo A321P2F.

Some passed to the 10+ region: Iberia A330-200 current scheme (not been made before this scale), Boeing 757-200 with the F-35 nose testing the avionics (given that NG showed their ability by making the Honeywell twice in 2 different scheme - the older scheme even got a rerun) , Korean Air Cargo B77L (its larger sibling 748F got many attention). Still a long way far behind.

Hey man, vote for what you want to vote. I reserve my right to bitch and moan, but that shouldn't stop you from wishing for what you desire. NG released a Southwest 737 with a mismatched winglet and like 50 different Northwest/Republic hybrids, they'll do anything

To be honest that set of Northwest/Republic hybrids was about the time they started stopping listening to collectors on forums. They made too many versions of those, even though I liked them (it wasn't my suggestion by the way), they didn't sell well. At times NG has definitely listened too much to collectors.

Sometimes it does feel like collectors are trying to take advantage of NG and then get shirty when NG don't obey them, but in this case I think a UA 777 in the current livery is always likely to be a good seller and as Quan says it has barely been made before. It's the sort of obvious release NG shouldn't need a wish to make.

The Worldways L-1011 they made was accurate. It wasn't an ex-PSA bird with the lower lounge.

I am considering putting up a wish for a United 777-224ER (Co-UA merger) but considering that the demand wasn't there for the mixed cowlings and the 222ER was just approved, would anyone still be interested? I was thinking of doing N78001 as it has the Gordon M Bethune tagline.

The full blue cowling looked better, but voted for the mixed one anyways. That should be easy variation for ng to do.

Actually, it seems as if someone has beat me to it. Both the mixed cowlings and the all-grey are on the website. I went with the all-grey as I've flown it twice.

Just wanna gauge interest amongst the community... would anyone be interested in seeing any of these more obscure present day aircraft be added to the NG CRP request list?

Rwandair 737-700/800
TAAG Angola Airlines 737-700/777-200ER/777-300ER
Ethiopian Airlines 737-800/737MAX8
Egyptair A320neo/A321neo/737-800/787-9
Gulf Air A320neo/A321neo
Oman Air 737MAX8/787-8/787-9
Turkmenistan Airlines 737-800
Somon Air 737-800/737-900
Air Astana A320neo/A321neo
Boliviana de Aviacion 737-800

These 3 would definitely get my attention. I also wished the Air Astana 767 but so far don’t see it received many joins.
fwiw I joined :) There is just such a chronic lack of African/Central Asian models even though many of the airlines have modernized their fleets and have some really stunning liveries. It’s sad. Not gonna waste my points to add them since they probably won’t get enough votes to be produced

I agreed. Actually i have been wanting those bit more "obscured", "off the beaten track" carriers but the fanfare isn't great. Had I got more wishes I would create for them (I think I might have wasted creating 2 Argentinas A330 - then more duplicated wish for that same subject was created for real)
