Model Review - TACA 737-300 by El Aviador

Indeed a nice thing you noticed. The Panda 737NG fuselage looks fine, while the B737-300/400 looks slightly bloated! They also have good gear length for the 737NGs
Agreed, though honestly my opinion is photo-based only. Maybe I should get myself a Classic to do the comparison (I am surprised I have not got one). I also agreed with you on the gear length on the classic as well. I think another aspect I would mention here are the window-lines: the recent 738 from PM got the windows a bit higher than they should be; whereas the TACA here seemed to be just fine. It is just a printing issue here but for the fuselage it is mould-related.

And I think the fact the bloated-fuselage is more noticeable on the 733 due to its shorter body length though. Though for me the 734 also suffered from it.

I'll show you later my Varig World Cup model and how a slight gear modification would make it look better. Just let me get home later ;)

I was taking some pictures of my model in my diorama on the other day, so it ended up being super handy right now. So... here it is: the top picture is the original model. The bottom picture is a slight edit I did on Photoshop, lowering the gears of the model.

Some might think it isn't really a big difference but it is quite noticeable! The 737-300 is very low. The nose gear leg should be almost completely hidden by the gear doors. Panda could clearly reduce their gear length IMO. Check out the real 737-300 below, just for comparison:

My lowered version could be even lower, to be honest!!!
But the current gear lenght is not the end of the world, of course. The TACA and the Varig B733s are really lovely models. However, can't really say it's an "almost perfect mould", I guess.
