El Aviador are back in 400 scale and with an aircraft that performed one of the all time great landings in civil aviation history. This Panda 737-300 has so much potential but you can't go wrong with the delightful colours of TACA:

Sounds like HX will do them, since they said they're working on the entire 737 series.
I would be very surprised if that statement was true (file it under mistranslation) and even if it is the chances of HX making a lot of Western 737-100/200s is not big. You're all getting carried away with HX me thinks

I'm also not expecting to see them doing 737s and, if they do, I guess it will take a while until we see the models. I'm much more excited with their upcoming 747s

I agree but it all depends if HX will actually use the moulds for anything but Asian airlines. I'm a little sceptical

I really like the classic lines of TACA but it also highlights the biggest flaw of this mould, well, maybe next to the weird looking aft fuselage. Ok, I once again feel like an OCD'ed alien apparently the only one seeing issues on this mould.:LOL:
Seems like the designer had to perform magic here to fit the artwork to the erroneous lines of the v.tail. Check that kink in the blue area's leading edge front of the "T". Either this or the print would have either ended up way front of the aft door or the aft door way front of where it is supposed to be.
Would I have the time, money and connections, the 2nd Gen. 737s would be on the the to-do-list right after 707, 727 and DC-9-10.

In this case I do think your alien tendencies are showing? Do you eat guinea pigs like the lizard people in V? :):):)

Having said that I would trust you to be designing these moulds. Incidentally do you own any of the releases on this 737-300/400 mould?

I only have a single 2nd Gen 737 in my collection (an old Phoenix 735 that will soon be for sale), none of these Panda/AC for said reason.

Re the tail. Here's a quick mod of your pic with a few added lines:
Red marks the blue area as continued along the lines of the erroneous tail, but without the magic kink - ending up in the wrong spot
Green is the line ending in the correct spot when printed on an improved tail shape
Yellow is roughly the leading edge of such mould improvement
Where are my guinea pigs?😅

I honestly couldn't care about these tail issues pointed by Phantom, they are too minimal for me to care. But hey, this is just me :)
I like this Panda mould but sometimes the gears are too long (Hey Jorge, here's me criticizing gears once again! hahaha) and the fuselage also looks a bit too bloated. It's not too much, I can live with it, but while the JC Wings B737-300 looks too thin, the Panda looks bloated to me.

I agree with you for the bloated fuselage. I wonder if the diameter between the 737 Classic and 737NG by Panda are different as it seemed completely in-line with the real machine for the latter.

Indeed a nice thing you noticed. The Panda 737NG fuselage looks fine, while the B737-300/400 looks slightly bloated! They also have good gear length for the 737NGs

I really don't see any bloating in the Panda 737-300/400 and the tail issues Phatom has raised are so minor as to be irrelevent to me. For me it is a great mould. The gear length is a fit problem with this model and not an issue on others I have.

The gear length issue is present on all 737-300 Varig World Cup 98 models i've seen - including mine - and on the Transbrasil B737-400 aswell. I even modified the gears of my B734, as seen here

The "bloating" effect is much more noticeable on the B737-300. The 737-400 looks fine most of the time, which is kinda weird because I believe the only modification between two moulds is just the added length

Yeah I recall your TransBrasil work. You put a lot of effort in, which I applaud, but I didn't think the difference was really worth it if I'm honest. The change was very minimal

I guess that's a bit subjective, because I swear my model looks much better now 😁 I'll show you later my Varig World Cup model and how a slight gear modification would make it look better. Just let me get home later ;)
