They are a manufacturer. Where did you see them as a retailer?Isn't LJ a retailer? I'm sure there are many here who buy from them? We'll get answers soon enough hopefully
has anything changed over there?check out their website https://legacyjetmodels.com
Why? It doesn't explain why they ran away.check out their website https://legacyjetmodels.com
Yeah they’ve added four new item numbers (models). When I placed my preorder for the AirTran and Avelo models three days ago, those weren’t listed.has anything changed over there?

They have mentioned previously on their retail page (5town collectible) that they’ll be moving on to stop retailing but instead becoming a manufacturerIsn't LJ a retailer? I'm sure there are many here who buy from them? We'll get answers soon enough hopefully
Im confused. Legacy was also retailer? They have mentioned previously on their retail page (5town collectible) that they’ll be moving on to stop retailing but instead becoming a manufacturer
Yes, as they have mentioned in the other forum, they used to sell JC and GJ (if I didn’t remember wrongly) using their retail name, 5 town collectibles, however about 2-3 months ago, they have posted on their then Facebook page, now a deleted page, that they will be closed for good and will focus fully on manufacturing of model airplane full time (in which I believe by using HX moulds)Im confused. Legacy was also retailer?

It’s indeed quite heart breaking to see that they have decided to delete all their contents and not listen to collector’s feedback on how they can improve. It brings back the whole episode of 2020-2022 period where manufacturers stopped listening to collector’s feedback and continue to produce models which ended up as a worst seller in the market.Yikes, leaving behind a legacy of falling short to our expectations, one must wonder why instead of choosing to work with the collectors and listen, they have chosen to shutter themselves into their flaws.
Now I am curious to know if these models will even make it to retailers now, the AirTran A320 looked alright for what it was.
From my perspective deleting their account doesn’t mean they’re ignoring collector feedback at all. I’ve found legacy customer service to be excellent. They’re always quick to respond on instagram and seem genuinely interactive with their following. That’s completely understandable and honestly a respectable decision.Ok. I just spoke with the owner of LegacyJets. He told me that the have decided to step away from the forum, at least for now. They may return in the future when they are more established:
'Our intention is to maintain clear, respectful, and consistent communication, just like you would expect from any aviation brand. Unlike many other diecast companies, we are committed to being accessible and transparent with collectors, providing a place they can trust and turn to for updates, questions, or support and that can happen still through our social media, email, or whatsapp. Our focus is on meaningful, professional dialogue and longterm relationships within the collecting community.'
