The breakup of the USSR led to a whole host of Baby-flots many of which came and went quickly. Kaliningrad has a unique status within Russia due to its unique geographical situation and this gave its resident airline an opportunity to do something different. This post also gives me the opportunity to show off another of the wonderful customs made for me by @DTcustoms

Great read indeed but something isn't clear to me: they basically ceased operations out of nowhere?
They ordered a big bunch of A319s but couldn't afford the growth?

Seems so. They wouldn't be the first airline to order aircraft they couldn't afford and run out of money when their grand strategy failed to be successful. I get the feeling they hadn't paid for the Airbuses and ran out of money anyway prior to the payments beginning. Sounds like there were dodgy dealings with the finances as well.
