I agree.nteresting to see a 3rd of the release being labelled as ‘future’ - or in laymans terms, 50/50 chance of coming out in the next decade. Still waiting on that Air Belgium/ Hongyuan group 747 they announced 3-4 years ago.
Personally, I wouldn’t take much of an issue of it all, if the normal releases didn’t take about 6 months to arrive at certain retailers. Spoke to someone not too long ago, who hinted at the fact that he once took a shipment from JC to his shop, and a couple of models arrived rusty. No doubt a result of models produced years earlier which were sitting in a humid warehouse somewhere in mainland China.
I’d love to be a fly in the wall when decisions are made at that company. It really seems bizarre. I feel they’d have a good reputation if they just fixed the backlog first and only announced models they were actually capable of churning out in the distant future.
It might not do anything to improve JC but at least you are voicing your opinion. That's a start. But who am I to say anything.
My August 2024 pre-order, where they lied about the MU A346 by showing their 1:200 thumbnailSeptember Announcements? I’m still waiting for my June preorder
I wouldn't mind a new Ethiopian 787-8 or 777-200LRThe fact of the matter is JC Wings as of right now is not capable of following the monthly release schedule used by major brand like NG, PH. They are not there both operation and quality-wise. They should reduce to a PandaModel or, at the very least, an Aeroclassics release schedule (either announcing already made models or just announcing a few for the next few months).
Also, they should utilize their strong suit more which is 777/787 IMO. There are many low-hanging fruits like KLM 789, 772, Royal Joradian 789 (new livery), Philippines 77w, Air New Zealand 77w, just to name a few...
Interesting batch as usual, planned now and in our hands in 2030.
Four airlines from Europe (KLM B737-400, Virgin Atlantic "Queen", Transavia A321neo retro and Lufthansa A340-300 special livery), five airlines from Far East (Cathay Pacific B747F, Singapore Airlines B777W, AirAsia A320 and GBA B737-800WL - i did not know this airline, interesting one - Thai A350-900)
two airlines from Oceania (Fiji Airways A330-200 Oneworld and Jetstar B787), and one from USA (Hawaiian B717), McDonnell Douglas Md-80 "propfan engine" and B777X demonstrator.
This time no Africa and no South America.
What to say? Always nice releases and interesting choices, KLM B737 classic is really interesting and the same for GBA B737NG and Transavia A321neo retro livery, but the real problem is that these models will be delivered in about a year!
Up until recently JC has neglected Africa. They have 25 "releases", 3 of which havent actually been made yet, with a lot of those being duplicates. Although their 737 mold is not the best the biggest airlines: Ethiopian, Egyptair, and Royal Air Maroc, all have one combined 738 released and that was well over 10 years ago. They can probably use that to their advantage to get decent sales.Interesting batch as usual, planned now and in our hands in 2030.

Yeah it’s the JAL 77W I’m also waiting for. Wasn’t it announced in June or is it just a June release announced in July? This one should’t take time since it’s a very simple livery? What I’m afraid of is JAL retiring it’s last one before JC releaseI have to say you reminded me, I am also waiting for the JAL 77W announced in July, to be honest I am also impatient

No - it is another version of the UDF airframe they did before, but without the UDF engine.Love to see the MD-80 in this release — presumably this is the prototype airframe?

This time no Africa and no South America and, technically speaking, an Airbus airplane demonstrator is missing.
