JC Wings August 2025 Announcements

As @qweyrhgf mentioned Sam has posted the latest JC Wings announcements, which are mislabelled as July when they should be August since this is the 8th lot this year.

The image below also isn't 100% accurate as I'm told the Yam dreaming Qantas 787 has been taken off the list since Gemini want to make it. It isn't unusual for Gemini to steal JC release choices :ROFLMAO:

I also originally thought it was an August announcement. But the official website of Rednote also shows that it is a July new product🤣🤣🤣. However, as @YesterAirlines said, we call it an August announcement.

Oh there's Sam's AC 744 getting the formal 'JC release' treatment - I went through such trouble to get it lol! There's no FD version I see.

And not surprised to see the Saudia A333P2F -JC recently have been amping up their releases of Airbus widebodies - arguably the weakest on the market.

The VASP B737-200 was announced earlier this year by BR Diecast - a brand by Brazilian retailer @pedrominiaturas - using JC mould and regs PP-SMA and SMP. See here

It seems now JC is releasing by themselves, using reg PP-SMC. Well, it's good news to Brazilian collectors, but I wonder when these will finally see the light of the day. JC have also released a Varig B737-200 ages ago as a Future Release and still no news of that model being de facto produced.

Right which makes me super unexcited about these 732s - as much as I'd love them to be added to the collection, by the time they see the light of day.......

What a great difference with NGModels. Not the same quality, ok, very loooong time among the announce and having the models in our hands, ok, but in this batch all the planet Is represented:
- ASIA with Cathay Dragon, Starlux and Malaysia Airlines
- NORTH AMERICA with Air Canada, United Airlines and FedEx
- EUROPE with Swiss and Lufthansa
- MIDDLE EAST with Royal Jordanian and Saudia
- AFRICA with Ethiopian Airlines and Angola Airlines
- LATIN AMERICA with VASP
- OCEANIA with Qantas

Even the manufacturers are enough in balance: six Airbus, eight Boeing, then a McDonnell Douglas.
NGModels, Phoenix and Gemini should learn from JCWings!
That said just Swiss A340-300 and Royal Jordanian A320neo for me.

another month of JC releases….another question mark on actual release dates. Nothing to get my hopes up over personally until I see the real things. Greta diversity tho generally speaking. From the US perspective the United 777 looks exciting and the FedEx will be fun for some.

Nice selection from where I stand, many 1990s subjects 😎. I see a lot of re-releases. The UA 772 and Federal Express MD-11 were released by Phoenix not long ago, and they did a good job with those. I agree, JC's 772 is top-notch, and it has a promo sticker. Hopefully, the QC will be good.

I don't see JC topping the purple top that Phoenix released a few years ago, though. It is still a popular livery, and fleet builders might get this version also.

The Air Canada 744 is another rehash. And I find it funny how they announce yet another VASP 732 before the previously promised version hits the shelves.

This model is ready now (so give it 3 months) and is a variant re-release of XX40206 with the same reg from September 2024. Unfortunately, just as with that release (because they come from the same batch) the cockpit window printing is not good:

Really need a Panda version rather than these old moulds.

It's a shame that they made N777UA with the "Boeing 777" titles so soon after the standard release from Sept 2024. If this was a different reg they would have been a nice pair.

If JC don't screw up the cockpit windows or something else  their version will end up being better than Phoenix. Might be a matter of taste, but I tend to avoid Phoenix MD-11s

To each their own, but the JC mold is not significantly better than the Phoenix one. Now if we were talking about the Panda MD-11 mold then it would be a vastly different story.

Then, the recent purple top by Phoenix has top notch printing detailing, properly placed cockpit windows and all. We shall see what JC comes up with.
