Yes, the drawbacks are indeed on the gears. HX have lots of Air China models planned for this mould. Sadly they're all JT9D powered, so I guess chances are slim to see GE CF6-50 or RR RB211 engines being made. HX Models still need to work their distribution for the Western market, so it's very early to see this brand having some success. At least we can clearly say they have a quality B747-100 mould.
Really like what I’m seeing… Shame about the wingtip fences but everything else looks awesome.
Yes, this one sadly doesn't have it because I believe this blank model served as a base for the prototype B747-100 in the "Museum of Flight" version. This version doesn't come with the wingtip antennas nor the hump antenna (which are all present on the "First Flight" release but not on the "Museum of Flight" version).
