Introduction to HX Models

Welcome to the forum! These look amazing! Good to see a modern version of the MD-11 coming along. i'm also excited for the entire 737 series. Hoping that includes the 100/200 versions.

Quick comment on the MD-11. The cockpit windows seem a bit large. Other than that it's awesome.
The MD-11 displayed in the picture is in the early prototype stage, not the finished model produced by us.Thank you for your feedback on the details

Hello Jim and a warm welcome to the forum! Glad to see the updates, processes & molds!

1 question in the future do you have plans to make a 727, DC-10 and a340-300 mold?
Thank you for your interest. We will complete the production of the molds you mentioned next year.

Hello Jim, it's always great to have someone with input from a factory. It places an element of faith in the brand. Very interested in your photos to date. Seems like some great work is being undertaken. I'd be very keen to see some 737-400s made, in Australian Airlines colours and QANTAS. just to get in before you are inundated with requests. Keep up the work and the conversations here.
Thank you, DaveSoda, for your attention. The molds are still in production. We will continue to discuss this topic further

Oh I didn't see any A340 listed on the website!
Can you please share a link?
it's not on their website prob. due to they are manufacturing on YY's order?
anyway it's on YY Wing's official Taobao shop which mentions it's made by HX.
both normal and FD version available for order at 198/218 CNY (27.4/30.2) USD (extremely competitive)
but I assume somewhat later HX will be releasing other liveries with their own brand.

Oh okay then this won't be available at MHH - just like those Korean 748s which are YY exclusives.

Welcome HX Models. Your offerings so far look interesting, but also entirely focused on the home market.

I think people need to keep their expectations in line. So far HX has announced almost entirely Chinese offerings and frankly more Air China 747-400s, China Eastern A340-600s and China Southern A380s are NOT what the hobby needs.

HX need to:
  • Find some proper distributors and retailers
  • Show some willingness to actually make models someone outside of China wants
  • Make models that haven't been made a hundred times before
Until they start doing these things I am wary of empty promises. When NG started they delivered a series of very high quality 757s and 787s aimed at the Western market and found retailers quickly to stock them. That was a lot more promising than this. These moulds so far look good but not spectacular (I agree with @josecolme about the MD-11 cockpit and I'm not overly impressed by the landing gear either).

I think it is vastly more likely we will see lots of Chinese 737-800s and 777s rather than classic 737-200s and 727s. I am happy to be proven wrong but only time will tell and as the saying goes 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating'

nope actually. for chinese speakers, if your friend is the owner or boss of a brand or smth you can call him "boss" even you are not an employee)
Hehe actually it's a thing in I'd say a lot of Asian countries including South Asia, Richard -
'Boss' is equivalent to say 'Mate' or 'Dude" - you get the drift I guess @YesterAirlines

Thank you, Richard, for your suggestion. As you mentioned, our new mold releases have primarily focused on Chinese airlines, but we are gradually working on developing models that cater to the Western market as well.

We would also like to clarify that HX Models is a Chinese brand with a strong foundation of trust and support from our friends in the local market. Their encouragement and support have been instrumental in motivating us to keep improving and creating better products. That’s why we have chosen to start in the local market, not only to meet demand here but also to provide quality service and products from our home base.

We appreciate your recognition of the quality of our molds. Regarding the cockpit design, as explained above, this is an early prototype and not the final product. The prototype helps us assess the mold’s shaping effects, rather than represent the final model. Aircraft models are a cohesive whole, and we aim to meet the high standards of collectors by carefully managing details across the mold, print, paint, and more.

We’re not focused on making our new mold products a best-seller in a short time. Instead, we’re dedicating more energy to refining the accuracy of our molds and enhancing product quality while actively gathering feedback from collectors. We believe this approach will bring long-term success to the brand.

Thank you again for your interest in HX Models. We look forward to providing more satisfying collections for aviation enthusiasts worldwide through our continuous efforts!
