Introduction to HX Models

A very delightful warm welcome to MAF, Jim and HX Team! I really hope that you will keep us all updated with the process. It's quite rare to see manufacturers engage with the collector community.

Just one question: I understand that your team has a wide mould portfolio, will the usage be extended to other non-Chinese carriers as well?

I myself especially eager to see the IL-76 - hopefully with both classic D-30 as well as current PS-90 engines.
Really hope that we have some update regarding the Ilyushin 76 @Jim .

As a person before that a collection a suggestion that I would give is to be honest with the customers, if one model can be released or not. Because sometimes as collectionist I’m feeling joked by the false aspectation that the brands are giving to me. And as a person I’m losing the trust in the company.

Like I said on the other forum already, I'm not falling in love with this 747Classic mould thus far.
IMHO, it sits too tall on its gears - something that could easily be fixed and would bring me closer to ordering one.
The other issue is far less easy to fix though. The wing profile appears to be way too think - especially mid wing - which is particularly noticeable around pylons 2/3 which look squished in consequence. I know diecast moulds have their design limitations but the pylon/engine issues (not only on this but also on the "lite" competiton) irk my eyes. Eyes are still on the look for the definite 747Classic mould.
Here's a quick pic to showcase:

or here's an idea, stop posting in chinese since it's against the rules.
Where is this rule?

I’m not understanding the Chinese, but I think it’s a good practise posting in eng because is more understandable from the most of the people but… I have not found the rule that you have mentioned…

If there is I’m so courios to see it 🤗

IMO it just seems like reversed-engineered DW mould tbh.

and i have to agree 200% that the wings are way too thick -- i don't think it's diecast issue though given phoenix and NG these days make them think like paper

I didn't say it can't be done better😉
I'm just not sure where to sort HX. Budget or premium? I'd expect better if premium.
Agreed on DW.

On a general note: I HATE when engine moulds are designed with seperate intake lips. This is common practice nowadays to allow higher fan detailing/"see through". However, what may work on a GE90 kills a JT9D. The real thing has a very "thin" fan casing, particularly the early nacelle. The above pictured are the larger "quiet" type.
A seperate intake piece adds wall thickness beyond realistic dimensions and kills the engine's look.
