I just saw these photos of the HX A340-600. Can't say I'm loving the look of this and no obvious reason to replace the Phoenix versions. Cockpit windows look really poor here and undercarriage too short:
Nah it wasn't a re-release
It was actually the first time an old Landor IB A346 was released on the updated PHX mould with aerials and updated landing gears and cockpit printing - or for that matter - on any updated mould.
Looks like a scaled down version of the JC 200 tooling. But those cockpit windows are atrocious. The landing gear height doesn’t really stand out to me as a negative.
I welcome a modern A340-500/600 mould. The Phoenix one, while decent, is dated with some inaccuracies: its wings are swept too far back and the cockpit section is too wide.
Hopefully HX Models can solve the cockpit print and landing gear issues with their mould.
