It really is. As I have said many times before, for what was once one of the world's largest airlines, TWA's smaller aircraft are pretty poorly represented in 1:400.

The MD-80s in the final scheme are up there as some of my most wanted models of all time. Hopefully someone makes one on a good mould soon.

Yeah. They have so many great moulds that just sit there, doing nothing at all. It is a real shame and a waste, to be honest. At least we have JC who are a bit more adventurous with their releases.

True, it just takes forever for JC to get them out. I'd really like to see them use the MD-80, 717, 727-100, 727-200 a LOT more. Still a lot more models that can be made.

Yep. Maybe instead of dedicating 1 release per month to a classic, we could see 2,3 or even 4 a month. That way a lot of their moulds would get a much better chance of being used.
