Brian Keene Sam Chui Interview.

I really really want someone someday (hopefully me!) creates a diorama at that large scale down to fully accurate sized and shaped ground markings with accurate aircraft depicting a certain time of day or certain specific year (you could use old time tables for older eras there). These dioramas where your kinda blending a few years always do end up great in the end but for me I enjoy the little details lol
That is the plan for IND... we're using a 1993 ground layout. All we need to do is set up the scene with some aircraft according to the 1993 flight schedules (which I have already gone through and planned out all in/out movements based on an entire week), just pick a time and go to the excel file that shows everything that should be at each gate at any time of day...

This is an awesome display, but, as noted before the realism isn’t exactly on point, however I don’t care that much. The one thing that caught my immediate attention was the In and Out being in the wrong place, however, it’s so iconic, and it makes sense why he placed it there.

That sounds awesome. You could always fudge some planes around too - pretending about delays or flight cancellations depending on the aircraft you have available. I assume that was also already thought about for your project. Excited to see it finished!
