Biggest Gaps In My Collection

Hey everyone, today I'll share some of the biggest things missing from my collection (and possibly yours). For reference, I have a fictional airport in the PNW, ATL concourse E/F, and my baby, ADD Terminals 1/2.

Big 3 738s: The biggest gaps in the collection begin in Addis Ababa where there is only one Ethiopian, EgyptAir, or Royal Air Maroc 737-800 made in the entire scale, and its an EgyptAir example from 2012 (in total there have been 7 737-800s released). This gap is quite huge for me as Ethiopian 738s account for majority of their narrowbody fleet, and their Max 8s are just being announced by JC. The RAM and EgyptAir 737s definitely have a better chance of being a successful release as they regularly operate services deep into Europe, so I can see many European collectors also benefitting from those two being released. The Ethiopian examples do not fly to Europe as much, but they definitely hit Asia as well as majority of Africa (of course) I will be willingly to stick with the Maxs if I can secure the other two 738s just from a variety standpoint.

ETH Q400s: Staying in ADD, the Q400 is something that is a massive gap, and I do not see it closes anytime soon. With just shy of 30 examples of the type, Ethiopian relies on the Q400 for its domestic and low demand intl services. Despite the massive number of aircraft they have, it still is very niche to East Africa and Ethiopian. I would love to have this one day because it plays such an important role but it would be unrealistic to expect any type of release from it.

Arabian 320s: The last two gaps for ADD come from the Arabian Peninsula: FlyNas and Yemenia. FlyNas flies to JED 10x and RUH 7x using 320neos. They seem like a decently large budget airline (probably the largest in Saudi?) that does not have a release yet. I'm not too familiar with their network, but I would like to think they operate enough in Europe/ Asia to attract enough demand for a release. The other A320 is from Yemenia who flies to ADD from Aden 1x a week in the summer. Obviously, this is a very regional island pretty much restricted to flights throughout Arabia and some flights into East Africa, most of the routes either being seasonal or low frequency. Surprisingly they do have a 747SP and more recently a 727 from Aeroclassics that have been made, but nothing modern has been produced.

I know most of these probably will not see some love for a while, but ADD is unique that Ethiopian dominates the market so much that the variety suffers. Unlike other major African cities, the airport does not see any service from European carriers (maybe Turkish counts because IST is on the European side 😂). In fact majority of the foreign carriers are just the immediate neighbors and the gulf carriers. Therefore I can expect FlyNas, Yemenia, and the Ethiopian Q400 to not be made, but the Big 3 of Africa should have their narrow body workhorses in my opinion. That is why no matter the size I'll welcome some variety to this specific airport. My other airports in the series will be more specific as there is already more variety by default. I attached a few of the examples of what is missing down below sort of as my Addis Ababa wishlist.

Sadly, some of these might never see the light of the day. That's why ordering a custom model is sometimes the only way to have these
