AV400 January Releases

I had a brief e-mail with AV400 today and he said:

'As for whether the A350s that have been announced are all ready, assembly is under way. More than 16,000 A350 models, try to be completed before the Chinese New Year holiday, but I don't think we can complete all of them.

As for the first 777-300 with detachable landing gear (more than 10,000 B777-300ER models), painting has already begun.'

I have mentioned the exhaust colour issue. Hopefully it isn't a real problem
If you don’t mind, what’s the best way to contact them?

Like Richard said

was talking to the AV400 Factory manager and he told me that the A350s will make chinese new year and will ship next week to me

The A350s were pre produciton samples and was ready about a month ago but others are still in production and should be completed

The 777s yes thats a big problem and should be out soon
787s too?

Av400 has really lost the plot on their A350s.
After pioneering the type's best mould in 1:400, their subsequent revisions and modifications have only made the mould slip in its excellence - and with the advent of NG's, and now Panda's, I am no longer interested in Av400s A350 offerings.
It's really sad.

That's a little extreme. While I agree the NG and Panda 350s are better the recent changes to the landing gear, engine pylons and fanblades have improved the mould and it is better now than at the start when you liked it. This recent bunch haven't had the wingfit or nose issues some had in the past. It isn't my 1st choice but since Panda make so few A350s it is regularly the second. Definitely needs new winglets though

Here's an early example:

and here's the Edelweiss I reviewed last week:
EDELWEISS_A350_06.JPG

The engine pylons, maingear bogey, tyre hub size, aerial size and fanblades are better on the Edelweiss. I'm less sure about the metal coloured hubcaps. Like I said it isn't the NG or Panda, but it is better than the Phoenix, JC Wings / Gemini offering in my view, plus it has mag gear.

While that is true, what I was trying to state, and now I can reflect on it and perhaps articulate a little better, is about Av400 having slipped from being at the cutting edge with their A350s.
Av400 led the way, and at the time, there was quite the distance between Av400s and PHX/JC-GJ, so much so that I avoided the latter altogether - like a hard cut, so to speak - which continues till today.
The Av400s were that good, when compared to the competition.

With the introduction of NG's, Av400 hasn't been able to keep up. Which is unfortunate. I was implying this aspect, of them no longer being at the top of their game across the board (A380s being the notable exception)
Definitely needs new winglets though
Exactly you know, and it's such a primary feature!
I'm just stumped they haven't updated it, even after more than a year-18 months of the 'new' mould being in development!

Right, and you'll notice that I align with that view - maybe how I expressed it, I wished Av400 would get their act together to really refine the mould form and details further.
Amongst the available moulds, along with NG's and PM's, Av400 offers the only real competition, but at some distance still. Just viewing it through maybe very tough scrutiny Hehe - more than I should.

I don't even consider the existence of PHX/JC /GJ in the A350 department, 🤣.

Perhaps, from a very personal standpoint, I'm a little dismayed at Av400 not being able to keep up, or perhaps loosing their edge, or perhaps biting off more than they can chew, with their ambitions - and perhaps thus not taking care of many obvious things.

I'm 100% in alignment with you. My view is that their resources are shared with Inflight and that seems to limit what they can achieve. I think they will update the A350 winglets but I am also surprised they haven't yet done so.

At least with AV they are willing to modify the moulds and are trying to do better. They don't quite reach the heights of NG or Panda but they are striving to do more and I can't fault them for that.
