JC Wings January 2025 releases

Ehhh the cradle alone makes it even worse than the NG, that’s a colossal eyesore most folks seem to just gloss over.
Depends on preferences I think. I never understood why some put such a stong focus on where seam lines run on a model. I agree that they are not optimal but in my book the JC competes well with HX's current offering - both are far from great, but NG's "Lite" shape is a turd no matter how seamless they'd manage to do it.

Alex, I'll second that. I've never understood why seam lines or plastic wings for that matter are show stoppers for many collectors.

I'm happy that JC release their classic 747 in this Pan Am scheme. My Pan Am Models reproduction of the same design suffers from serious yellowing of the fuselage paint coat which may be related to the chrome underneath?!

You are talking about how the model is put together and not about how well it represents the airplane it claims to be a replica of. By your logic the Phoenix mold would also be better than the BigBird (JC) and GJ molds.

Definitely interested in a few here. But like others have said. Who knows when the future models will be out in stores…

Definitely getting the 2 Qantas birds and will get the Iberia One World A330 too…Iberia is a One World livery I am missing from that collection

My first ranking vid of the year goes to this JC batch. They have been better at delivering future models recently so you may not be old and grey by the time these appear. The best model by a country mile is the MD81 UDF anyway and that one looks ready to go:

It’s such a pity that JC released the IB CRJX with the same registration as the GJ! Both are EC-MVZ but the JC has the special livery which has now been removed from the plane… the GJ has the exact same issue with the nose lading gear unfortunately. In any case, in the box images it can be seen that JC will do another IB CRJX with a different special livery (and reg) so I guess it could be worse. Was hoping to see an old livery version, though. Also glad they decided to do an IB A332! Pre-ordered mine already.
