Right! 383 approved wishes and yet NG thinks we want this.If they wanna go down this road they should make the Lolita Express next !
Can we just ignore the political aspect of 'America First' and take a moment to remind ourselves that this fantasy model is taking the production slot for a more desirable model. If NG wants to 'celebrate America' , why not put models like the PAN AM AND TWA 747s that were among the first models to be approved in the wish center ? [...] And besides, the US is more than just politics. Boeing ? NASA? Ford? Hollywood ? the Wild West ? And much more. But that's just my opinion.
Curious to know what the comments say —is the sentiment the same over there as in Western media? On Chinese social media, this fantasy has more likes than all but one of their recent releases. Compare that to the reactions here. Very amusing, as an outsider looking in.
They seem mostly amused, plus some random questions.Curious to know what the comments say —is the sentiment the same over there as in Western media?
Ah, so a little more restrained on the negative feedback. They seem mostly amused, plus some random questions.
There’s no negativity at all actually. Amused, but not overly enthusiastic is how I’d describe it.Ah, so a little more restrained on the negative feedback.
Seems like they’re a little restrained themselves still… I guess the livery is a little amusing, but like others said it is taking up valuable production slots. Of course, they might not be aware of the immense backlash on Western media, so to each their own. There’s no negativity at all actually. Amused, but not overly enthusiastic is how I’d describe it.
I can relate to this as I own a couple of fantasy models myself despite trying to avoid them as much as I can.I generally agree with the idea that they should represent a real aircraft, and fantasy liveries that have no basis in reality, or are pure marketing gimmicks (e.g. the "Year of the Horse" by NG, or this one) just take up much needed production line space and there are so many desired models that need to be produced instead.
However, I have also picked up a couple of fantasy models that would normally fit my collecting criteria (e.g. the CX retro 77W by NG) because I wonder what it would look like (and they've been produced anyway). I could live without them though.
For those unaware, this is the inspiration for the livery...
Frontier tails. That would cash in.One could really think NG is short of funds and try to cash in with this![]()
