At 3:00 AM (UTC+8) today, a serious accident occurred in HKG. An ACT Airlines 747-400BDSF (TC-ACF,Chartered by Emirates SkyCargo)EK-9788 arriving in Hong Kong from Dubai struck a ground vehicle and veered off the left side of runway 07L on landing, breaking through the seawall into the sea. The 747 came to rest partially submerged with the rear fuselage and tail torn away, forcing the following flight, CX851, need to take a go-around. The four crew members on board were uninjured, but two people in the ground vehicle were confirmed dead. RIP
A cargo plane arriving from Dubai ran off the runway and tumbled into the sea at Hong Kong International Airport early Monday, crashing into a ground-service vehicle and leaving two ground workers dead.
