Airline News

There is no problem with these three airports. The main problem is that Taiwan Songshan Airport (TSA, it is also one of the most important airports in CI)apron can only accommodate aircraft with a wingspan of 60 meters or less. It cannot use A330Neo, A350
Oh okay
CI don't operate regional / Asia flights out of Taoyuan?

EDIT: they don't - just checking

(also checking - 77W & A339 have same wingspan)

At 3:00 AM (UTC+8) today, a serious accident occurred in HKG. An ACT Airlines 747-400BDSF (TC-ACF,Chartered by Emirates SkyCargo)EK-9788 arriving in Hong Kong from Dubai struck a ground vehicle and veered off the left side of runway 07L on landing, breaking through the seawall into the sea. The 747 came to rest partially submerged with the rear fuselage and tail torn away, forcing the following flight, CX851, need to take a go-around. The four crew members on board were uninjured, but two people in the ground vehicle were confirmed dead. RIP🙏

The outcome scene is quite similar to that China Airlines 47 which overran the runway in Kai Tak back in 1993.
Sad to see this beautiful Jumbo ending up like this. Also RIP to the deceased ground crew :(
