Aero Polaris A350-1000

Someone definitely needs to do G-VJAM, it was the first A350 I flew on! Plus all the 44J config A350’s in Virgin’s fleet will have been released in 1:400!

I hope this isn’t ARD exclusive but we’ve been waiting for NG to remake it for so long🥲
Only time will tell, there has been no formal announcement from Aero Polaris themselves yet. For me in the UK, ARD stocking them isn’t an issue. I am wanting NG to rerelease the Virgin A350, a pair G-VELJ and G-VNVR have been approved on their commission centre but only time will tell given the recent shift in NG’s release variety.

Yeah we’ve been waiting for the first approved model since the beginning of the NG voting program. All it would take is a reg and name change to an existing artwork.

Before NG goes off to make other A350-1000s, have they finished making the whole fleet of Cathay Pacific’s? :ROFLMAO:

Looking forward to seeing it as well.

I hope Aero Polaris would pay attention to the A350-1000’s shorter & wider winglet, versus the A350-900’s tall and thin new winglet.

NG has just lost it recently - putting the -900’s tall and thin new winglet onto the A350-1000 (a few CX A35Ks are like that), then using the shorter & wider winglet on Delta’s 100th anniversary A350-900. Just all over the place…

Pretty cool that another brand jumped in on making the A350-1000! I'm curious if they'll consider the extended trailing edge since other manufacturers used the same wing across all 350 variants. Personally not really a big deal to me since the extension length at 1:400 is small, but will be interesting to see how far they'll go with the level of accuracy.

I've finally received my Aero Polaris Cathay Pacific A350-1041 B-LXP from Aviation Retail Direct, ahead of another package next week with French Bee, Virgin Atlantic G-VTEA and another CX B-LXO.

Let's take a look of the model and a short comparison vs NG Models' Airbus A350-1000 Qantas Project Sunrise!

A tiny bit of printing imperfection around the nose cone, with a darker triangular shade of the baby blue corporate colour:

The shape of A350-1000's curved winglet is pretty accurate:

Nice Rolls-Royce logo and good ground clearance:

Now moving onto the comp with NG. The nose shape, the curvature and the cockpit windows size/shape are a bit different:

The Aero Polaris' wings are noticeably whiter in terms of the shade of grey:

Both NG's original A350-1000 winglet (if they remember to use the correct shorter, wider one [chuckle] instead of putting A350-900's one) and Aero Polaris' winglet are pretty good:

Again the Aero Polaris tail sits a bit taller (due to landing gear bogie, as pointed out by yesterdayairlines):

Both NG and Aero Polaris are of really good quality, but Aero Polaris is getting my vote (& wallet) for the A350 in the past 3 months!

What do you guys think?

As far as I can see in those pics, the Aero Polaris also has a 350-900 wing. The grey color looks pretty good on it.
Interestingly, there's quite a variation of grey shades on A350 models while all (but one?) real 350s are painted up in what Airbus calls "Matterhorn White" - which is a very light grey.

NG has also since updated the A350 mould last year afaik - for one, the nose has been subtly modified
I've noticed the newer A350 releases by NG have thicker noses with, which look less accurate from the top compared to their older mould and the AV400 rendition. This is evident on their Air France and -350F Singapore Airlines Cargo releases compared to older releases.

This is a comparison of an older NG Singapore Airlines release (left) to the A350F Singapore Airlines Caro from earlier this year (right); the difference is more pronounced than the picture portrays.

The second picture compares an older NG A350-1000 Virgin Atlantic (left) to the Aviation400 A350-1000 Virgin Atlantic (right). You can see the nose is more tapered and narrow than even the older NG mould.

Those are nice comparison shots to illustrate the differences @Battlecry
We'll need to lay our hands on the A350 drawings

Looking at pictures of real A350s from above, the Aviation 400 always looked the most accurate to me. NG Models wasn't far off, but their recent releases (I don't know if this due to mould wear or if they updated their mould at some point) are far too blunt with too short a taper from nose to fuselage.
