Because Lufthansa is synonymous of Eurowhite since 1989 (fully Eurowhite) and partially since 1960 (excluding the Blue cheatline and the grey belly). View attachment 69545
Doesn't explain much. Their 1989 livery, despite being simple, is much more elegant due to the yellow and grey belly.
I guess it's simply bad taste from their boring designers

But, wait a moment: the 1:500 Lufthansa B787-9 "100 Years" is literally in pieces. The main question is "WHY??? HERPA, WHY???"
