1:500 fleet.

Looking at my models i was considering the Tupolev Tu-114, a Soviet era airplane based on Tu-95 bomber design. This is just a comparison to share how big the Tu-114 was (51 meters lenght), compared with two modern widebodies, Mongolian B787-9 by Boeing and Condor A330-900neo by Airbus.

Indeed a big bird. Longer than a B767-200 and almost a B767-300.

Then the real question is: "dear Herpa, does you understand why even more collectors switches to 1:400 scale?!".Herpa, even more a niche manufacturer (unfortunately the only existing in 1:500 scale) for niche collectors loving three-four evergreen airlines.

1:500 future is indeed bleak, with no hope for a better outcome.

This Is One of my most favourite Tupolev Tu-154: Airline400. This was a charter Russian airline flying Tu-154s leased by B.A.C. Bulgarian Air Charter, deleting the B from the fuselage and the tail fin and addimng Airline400 on the fuselage. The logo on the tail was for Portugal European Soccer Championship 2004, when this was the official Airlines of Russian team. Then, during the European Soccer Championship Faro airport was a paradise for all the Tu-154s lovers!
