Unluckily this was not in Alitalia’s fleet…. Should be one of the most beautiful Alitalia’s plane.

Can I guess in with film was used this plane? I’m so curious

Thank you so much for the info and sorry for the OT :)

Great photos.

I discussed the history of these Czech 104s at the site in 2022 and discussed the film that the Alitalia aircraft appeared in:

Thank you so much as always Richard ;)

Notice it says "DC-8-62" next to the registration on the Alitalia side. What movie maker would have ever thought to have a Tu-104 stand-in for a DC-8??? They should have done some homework first.

Haha! I'm sure the entire aircraft was never filmed - just rear sections of it externally - and internally. Thus working as a stand-in for a real DC-8

I recently watched MI:8 and when I mentioned that the heliopters had the completely wrong sounds dubbed over my wife just said: who the f* cares?!?
Guess that explains why using a 104 for a DC-8 is no problem.
Concerning MI:8, I'm still puzzled how a BT-67 can make East Coast to Alaska and on to Congo in less than 48 hours, unseen by the worlds biggest naval fleets and anyone else. Blockbuster movies drive me nuts😖😵‍💫😅

Nice pics of a nice model!

Off topic - but should I watch it in a theatre?
I did watch Dead Reckoning last year - fabulous on IMAX. But recent tentpoles have me wondering

The amount of WTF moments on that film is way too big... lol

This was during the Cold War in the 1970s. Options were limited!

I always think I'm a perfectionist nitpicker and then you come in and upstage me everytime Alex! BRAVO!!! This is perhaps the ultimate.
