Earlier today on MAF and a thank you message to our members!

He has explained in some detail why he did not feel welcome. I hope that he may be brought back as a moderator. From this point, I'll join him to say, 'let it die.'

    Aeroclassics November 2022 speculation thread

I am very sorry to see that this forum has driven out the man who essentially brought, I suspect, a lot of us over. Richard Stretton's fair, objective, and unbiased reviews, and detailed historiography, are an extremely important part of this hobby. They very much figure into my own willingness...

NG Model 1:400 October 2022 Release Photographs

Ordered the Alia L-1011. I'm glad NG did the only Alia livery that had not yet been done in 1:400 (at least as far as DiMA says).

Out of Control Pricing of Second Hand Models

I wholeheartedly agree. Collectors need to show some sense and refuse to pay silly prices. Greedy sellers need to be told in no uncertain terms that silly prices mean they keep their wares. I buy far fewer models than I used to, especially the secondary-criteria stuff that filled out regions and...

The AC/BB 763 is a terrific mould. I have a bunch of them, including the Alitalia.

    DC10 new releases?

I've been wanting an Aeroclassics Laker "Skytrain" DC-10 for some time. I have the Dragon and would be happy for an AC to join it!

    2015 BB400 Cathay Pacific Boeing 747-367 B-HOL

I got both of those BB CX 743's when they came out...has it really been seven years? Wow do I feel old. The "lettuce sandwich" green-stripe livery is a classic of aviation history, and these two models are fine representatives of it.

Aeroclassics Singapore Airlines 747-200 with "California Here We Come" titles, model made in 2005. AC and BB400 747's made around this time are some of the best things ever done in 1:400. Aeroclassics Singapore Airlines 747-212B 9V-SQF 1970's-80s Livery "California Here We Come" Titles Front...

    BigBird400 Air India 747-300 VT-EPW "Blue Antiglare"

Here's a closeup of one of the two new BigBird400 Air India 747-300's. Very nice looking model. I have the other Air India and the Evergreen on order and will post photos of those after they arrive. The BB400 747's are still solid moulds, and I'm very happy to get models on it. JC should pull it...

NG Model 1:400 October 2022 Release Announcement

Will be ordering the Alia L-1011-500. The livery NG is doing a livery that (as far as I can tell) has not been done in 1:400, so I'm especially glad to see it.

    Thoughts about BigBird Mk4

I'm very happy with the BigBird400 747 moulds despite the cradle seam. For whatever reason, JC seems to just sit on these moulds and not use them most of the time. As Rich noted above 'Mk 4' is just 'Mk 3.' I ordered all three of this fall's releases, the Evergreen Supertanker and the two Air...

    DC10 new releases?

Aeroclassics has the best 1:400 DC-10 mould by far, and still uses it pretty regularly. I have lots of their DC-10's. There's no need for NG to do a DC-10. NG's TriStar moulds are the first outstanding 1:400 moulds for the type. NG used their TriStar moulds more heavily in the first year or...

    NG Models 1/400 Model Wishlist

Welcome Jackson! NG's classics--their L-1011's and 747SP--are my highest priority from them. I'm in my 50's, and grew enjoying 727's, DC-10's, 747's and the like in the 70's and 80's. NG's L-1011 moulds are the first truly outstanding, top-quality 1:400 moulds for that type; it's a shame it took...

    Aeroclassics November 2022 speculation thread

Hmm.....thoughts off the top of my head: HA- = Hungary? No idea LN - & OY- Scandinavia? No idea N - Seaboard World DC-8-63, 1990's original-livery AirTran 737-200 or maybe the delayed People Express and Continental-PE hybrid 727-200's PH- Transavia 737-200 in 1980's "T" livery TC- THY DC-10 in...
