What aircraft that you’ve flown exist as models?

Some more exciting things I found in my research:

- My parents flew N164AA, a DC-10-30 between HNL and DFW in 1999. Aeroclassics/Bluebox released this in 2021.
- A couple relatives of mine flew N773NC, a DC-9-50 for Northwest in 2002. I possess this one with the final livery (they flew it with Bowling Shoe colors).
- They also flew N945N and N952N when it was with Northwest; I have them as models with Republic/NC hybrid from AC and North Central colors from Netmodels, respectively.

My collection basically doubles as my flight/spotting log, though I've made compromises, as getting models of a specific registration/airframe made is essentially a gamble, especially with common airline/type combos

The 3 models in my collection that fit this strict criteria also have another common theme: special liveries. They're far more likely to be picked up by manufacturers, after all.

NG JA873A, IAH-HND. And yes, ANA went the whole nine yards with the R2D2 theme. Also the best Texmex I've had in the air!


Panda B-HYB, HKG-PEK. Sadly both the airline and the airframe flew into the sunset when Covid hit a few months later


NG N77014, EWR-PEK and back. As the only plane I've flown more than once on and the ex-Peter Max jet, she'll always have a special place in my heart.


Now, there's also preserved aircraft; while they sure ain't flying, some allow for walk-throughs. If I include those, we have...

Any idea as to what N2ADAA would be? Some regs have letters in place of numbers for some reason.

I have also flown on B-HYB in September 2016 NKG-HKG. But then it was a white Dragonair. Got the very old DW 1:400 model.

Unfortunate timing on this one as ANA just announced today that they're saying goodbye to the R2D2 jet Whether that means a repaint or retirement, I don't know.

This also means that the three aircraft I've flown with special liveries are now either repainted or retired.

More exciting news as I found out that N714FR (Cubby the Bear) was also produced by Aeroclassics in 2021. This one had slipped under my radar as I had been under the assumption that just Georgia was the only one, out of the tails I flew, made in 1:400 scale.
