TrijetTrilogy's 1:400 models and photography

As a child, I loved playing with matchbox and other plane toys, often from the 90's.

Now into my adulthood, I randomly saw a model of a 737 online and went down a rabbit hole of researching everything there is to know about model aircraft that early November evening.

One of my fond memories of playing with planes was having a miniature Md-11. So, fitting to that and my obvious love of trijets, I decided my first model to be an Md-11. After reading @YesterAirlines 's MD-11 mould review, I knew I wanted to go for the best there is, Panda models. However, finding one wasn't easy.

I found one on sale for 29£ in early December, and well clicked buy.

And on 18 December 2025, voila!

It came.

Before it even arrived, I wanted to have a little diorama for it built so it would be properly displayed and admirable in all of its trijet glory.
After some 3D printing, LED tinkering and a bit of trouble getting a good looking printable appron, this came to be in a tiny shelf. (Approx 17x30 centimetres)

It took just over a month since my first purchase of a model airliner ever to acquire another one (courtesy of Aviation Megastore) - I think this hobby should be marked as addictive!

Once again, it's a Panda, albeit a lot smaller this time - A320-100 of Air France. I wasn't ever a real fan of the A320 series of aircraft always having preferred the to me more "plane looking" curves of the 737, but this being the second A320 ever made really had me sold + I really wanted a smaller model for my diorama.

It amazes me how tiny and well made it is, and especially the miniature box is something I adore!

Very cool! Not many models of the A320-100 were made, I guess...
Absolutely !
Airbus has only manufactured 20 examples of the A320-100 !
With only 3 airlines using : Air France, Air Inter, British Airways (ex-British Caledonian before the merger)...and Airbus Industrie colors.
Which explains why there are few A320-100 at 1/400.
Only Air Inter is left to produce at 1/400 scale...
I hope they will release it soon.

My third model ever shown up just 12 days after my second, and this time, I was looking forward to it even more.

It is probably my most beloved form of the MD-11, a beautiful big and blue KLM one. Now that I have both a panda and a HX/YY MD-11, I can compare the molds for myself and see which I like more, because this isn't my final "glass cockpit triholler" ever. Sadly it is the last model I will likely get for some time.

Now to get her a mini diorama built just like my previous models to give her a proper home!
Pictures coming once finished.

Truly gorgeous model! The best KLM MD-11 in 1:400 scale!
Would be great if they also released the 1990s colors.
