The new Korean

Some of the 748s are looking kind of bad too, but not this bad wow. I have a shot of HL7637 in March and she was looking rough, but HL7638 was quite clean before she got repainted (I'm pretty sure I have one of the last if not the last photo of it in old colors). I'm not sure if any other 748s will be repainted because they appear to be done by years end.
7636 looked decent last month, though it’ll be gone very soon. 37, 38, 42 and 44 are all staying with kal.

Everyone thought 44 would be repainted when it got several weeks of maintenance in June, but it’s still in the old livery and looks rough. Maybe (hopefully) it’s their version of D-ABYT…

The situation with 44 is exactly what happened to me with 38 when it got repainted. I shot it in late February, waited most of March in the queue, got accepted, then it only had like a week or two before it got buried because of the repaint. Now that I think of it, the same thing happened with 33 because it got pulled from service and its titles stripped before my shot got accepted. The real question is that are they surviving the year? I've seen some places reporting that they've removing the 748 from bookings which is interesting.

Last year they announced 748s will stay until 2031, and I haven’t heard anything to suggest that’s changed. The deal with SNC was for 5 planes (30, 31, 32, 33, 36), so the remaining 4 are safe for now.

That's what I've always heard until recently, we just lost the 748s for the 2nd time this year, but for some reason it always comes back so I'm holding out hope for its' return to ATL.

They’re booked for LAX in August ‘26, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see them pop up in ATL. LAX seems to be the only fixed destination, with ATL, LHR, CDG and HKG rotating.
