Takeoff Models - RM Model Store's attempt at coming back?

Someone I know sent this link to a new store called "Takeoff Models"
Here is their link: https://www.takeoffmodels.com/
It seems to be RM Model Store's attempt at coming back into the model aircraft industry.

The bottom of the website says "2025 RM Models LLC", and then when you click the "In Stock" part on the top bar of the website, it leads to the RM Model Store website.

The website also says that the company was founded in 2023:

But by using a website age checker, it shows that this website was just created this month:


I can't confirm if this really is RM Model Store, but from the looks of this info that was found, I feel that it really is RM's attempt at trying to come back into the model aircraft market. This info may be incorrect, so take it with a grain of salt.

I do believe that you are right.

I set up an account profile on RM in 2021 and subsequently placed 2 orders (one each in 2021 and 2022) with them, both of which were handled to my satisfaction. I tried to log on to 'Takeoff Models' website and was surprised to find that my profile already exists! I compared the layout and content of both sites, and they are exactly the same.

I guess the takeaway from this is...buyer beware!

I will be avoiding this store. RM sent out a newsletter announcing the closure of the RM website, so I presume whatever doesn’t sell in the “closeout sale” is going to be transferred to the Takeoff store, like bait for unsuspecting customers.

It's very possible he is rebranding and trying to distance himself away from the RM brand, but to do to something like this silently seems strange.

I was navigating between pages on this site yesterday and it redirected to the RM Model Store domain pages....not so slick as we thought.

I am in a separate online community with the person behind RM, and he has said today that Takeoff Models is a "failed restart" of the store. The blowout sale held at RM currently is allegedly genuine, and once all stock is sold RM will close.

Again, all is alleged and it may not be safe still to order from the store despite the assurances I've seen today.

I had also received the newsletter regarding the close out sale and saw 3 items of my interest. As shipping wasn't available to my country at check-out I had sent him a message if he could ship to the Netherlands and at what cost,
I just got a reply from the store (screenshot attached) but for me the models aren't worth the $50 shipping costs.
