I tried taking out a metal stand out of my NG 747 and now it looks like the thing that goes into the stand hole broke off and is now stuck like this:
Anyone got a suggestion on how to get it out?
Called a "peg," I have learned. As @Aircrafter93 pointed out, you have enough of it sticking out that you can use a set of precision pliers to pull it out.
FWIW, I had a plastic peg break flush with the belly once. Used a super heated needle to melt through it, let it cool down and pulled it out.
It worked… kind of.
While pulling it out with pliers, it managed to snap off. Well, at least I don’t have a peg sticking out of a plane, it’s barely noticeable
