Space Models IPEC BAe-146

if you will let me indulge you all in a story,

Many moons ago, one of IPEC Aviations engineering managers was in the United Kingdom (UK) to discuss with British Aerospace about acquiring the BAe-146 to replace the cargo airlines fleet of Armstong Whitworth Argosies. IPEC flew three of them. As shown below:

These tired old girls, were in need of replacement with something modern and jet powered. So the engineering team explored all options. Ultimately the BAe-146 wasn't selected and two second hand Douglas DC-9s were purchased instead. As shown below.

I recently acquired what could be the only model left of the BAe-146 proposal. Made by Space Models in the UK the model I have is in exceptional condition. And Being an IPEC aficionado, this joins my collection of bits and pieces from the cargo carrier. I have Argosy parts including control colum, switch panels, wing tip and a host of other smaller items.

To say I am happy is an understatement.
