My first model in about six months: the Gemini Jets Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max 8 | N803AK.

I managed to buy this model from the Alaska Airlines Company Store for $36 after tax, shipping, and handling. You can't beat that price these days!

Chester the Eskimo is one of my favorite tail livery designs.

This release includes a wifi dome above the fuselage, which the previous release (N801AK) did not include.

Gemini did a great job here with the livery. On the right is the Gemini Jets Max 8, and the NG Models 737-800 is on the left. The livery on the Gemini is slightly brighter, but they're both almost identical. I actually think the slightly darker shade of green on the Max 8 is more accurate to real-life.

The model does have some wing flex, more so on the left wing, but it's honestly not too bad and it's not super noticeable unless you're really looking for it. It's way less than other Gemini Jets 737-800 releases (like the infamous Sun Country and Avelo 737-800s). Here's a comparison with my NG Models American Airlines 737 Max 8.

Although I'd say that NG has the better 737 Max 8 mold, the Gemini mold is still solid. I'm definitely happy to add this one to my relatively small and slowly growing collection.

A rare one just landed today, coming from Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Let's welcome Viva Air 737-300 EC-FLF to the collection.

Viva Air (Vuelos Internacionales de Vacaciones) was founded on 24 February 1988 by Iberia and Lufthansa. At the beginning, flights were mostly from Germany to Spain.

My first of the recent surge in 727s from Gemini. This is a cool one to have and looks pretty nice! the mold has its limitations but the antennas and rolling gear look nice. I have the PanAm on the way so hopefully that one is as good as this one is.

As well as these I recently got the LJ E175s but those have their own spot of course. More on the way actually so hold tight till those come in this week.

This is really nice. A custom model I assume? Viva Air used to operate twice daily into Gatwick when I was a kid on scheduled services for Iberia as I recall. I'd love to get a 400 scale models of the airline.

Never knew of this airline. You’d think they are related to Viva Aerobus, but they aren’t.

Can’t get any easier to customize.

Seems to be a custom based on the blank JC Wings 737-300, right? Very nice bird and subject, despite the quite bland livery!

Finally had my two most recent NG pre-orders arrive this morning, and, as usual, they have done very well with these.

F-ONET Aircalin A330-941N. I have always wanted to have an Aircalin aircraft in my collection for really 2 reasons: 1- they fly to Australia, and 2, their livery is just stunning. I'm not a huge fan of the A330-900, but the Aircalin livery just makes everything that wears it look fantastic.

And the second of these is B-LAN, a Cathay Pacific A330-343. When I pre-ordered these, there was a selection of 3 Cathay A330s to chose from, B-HLW, B-LAN, and B-LBB. I decided on B-LAN as it is the most realistic of the Cathay A330s for NQX as Cairns in the last couple of years has only received the B-LAx registered aircraft.

With the arrival of these 2 aircraft, my 1:400 collection grows to 80 models and my A330 collection grows to 9 - comprising of 3 A330-343s, 1 A330-323, 1 A330-941N, 2 A330-841Ns and 2 A330-202s

Yes this is a custom, glad you liked the model. More to come. The tail concept comes from the Catalan painter Joan Miro known of painting abstraction of playful childish vibrant colors.

There was a lawsuit in 93 on the design, which went into the hands of Iberia and Lufthansa: https://elpais.com/diario/1993/01/28/cultura/728175601_850215.html

My new arrival. It is the first time I bought 787 by JC and will never do it again: the quality is low, but the most important is that all stabilizers are plastic. I think it is not acceptable.

I have faced the worst ever seller.
At first he sent the model without any outer box, just put it into plastic bag, when I opened it I saw that plastic cradle is full of mold (my wife wants me to throw it away :ROFLMAO:), the model is dirty. also the front wheel was broken and glued turned 180,what the seller did not mention

The JC 787 is the same mould as the Gemini 787. It's arguably the best on the market tbh alongside the NG

it might be good in terms of reproducing the real 787 shape, but the quility of production is really low compared to 787 by NG and AV. Also such big pieces made with plastic is not acceptable for me. So since now 787 by JC/GJ is in my black list
