My first model in about six months: the Gemini Jets Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max 8 | N803AK.

I managed to buy this model from the Alaska Airlines Company Store for $36 after tax, shipping, and handling. You can't beat that price these days!

Chester the Eskimo is one of my favorite tail livery designs.

This release includes a wifi dome above the fuselage, which the previous release (N801AK) did not include.

Gemini did a great job here with the livery. On the right is the Gemini Jets Max 8, and the NG Models 737-800 is on the left. The livery on the Gemini is slightly brighter, but they're both almost identical. I actually think the slightly darker shade of green on the Max 8 is more accurate to real-life.

The model does have some wing flex, more so on the left wing, but it's honestly not too bad and it's not super noticeable unless you're really looking for it. It's way less than other Gemini Jets 737-800 releases (like the infamous Sun Country and Avelo 737-800s). Here's a comparison with my NG Models American Airlines 737 Max 8.

Although I'd say that NG has the better 737 Max 8 mold, the Gemini mold is still solid. I'm definitely happy to add this one to my relatively small and slowly growing collection.

A rare one just landed today, coming from Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Let's welcome Viva Air 737-300 EC-FLF to the collection.

Viva Air (Vuelos Internacionales de Vacaciones) was founded on 24 February 1988 by Iberia and Lufthansa. At the beginning, flights were mostly from Germany to Spain.

My first of the recent surge in 727s from Gemini. This is a cool one to have and looks pretty nice! the mold has its limitations but the antennas and rolling gear look nice. I have the PanAm on the way so hopefully that one is as good as this one is.

As well as these I recently got the LJ E175s but those have their own spot of course. More on the way actually so hold tight till those come in this week.

This is really nice. A custom model I assume? Viva Air used to operate twice daily into Gatwick when I was a kid on scheduled services for Iberia as I recall. I'd love to get a 400 scale models of the airline.

Never knew of this airline. You’d think they are related to Viva Aerobus, but they aren’t.

Can’t get any easier to customize.
