In response to the tensions between Taiwan(ROC) and China (PRC) at the time, many airlines established their own Asian subsidiaries, such as British Asia Airways, Japan Asia Airways, and Swissair Asia. In Swissair Asia, the cross on the tail fin was replaced with the Chinese character "瑞". However,relations between the two countries have eased somewhat. and the bankruptcy of its parent company. Swissair Asia Shutdown in 2001, and Swiss has not flown to Taiwan since. Currently, only KLM retains KLM Asia.

New gears, aerials and better printing could do wonders for these DW MD-11s
