Yeah, understandable. I would assume the exact opposite for us and the Xiamen rereleases and stuff. It is just not valuable in China

in general correct. I have already found there quite a few models for cheap which is rare and very expensive in Europe/USYeah, understandable. I would assume the exact opposite for us and the Xiamen rereleases and stuff.

I like this mold overall I just hope JC fixes the winglets as they’re not super accurate and a bit rudimentary.

Awesome models! You are super lucky to get the Alaska MAX 9!LONG POST: The next batch of models arrived over the week while I was at college. A fantastic batch and we haven't even reached the main course!

I wasn't intending to have models from this trip come from online retailers, but greater circumstances prevailed as I had to buy the Panda Models Allegiant A319. Coming from Waffle Collectibles, this was one of two Allegiant planes produced by Panda for the defunct RM Model Store. Really sad how they ended up, but I'm glad the Waffle Man had a surplus of these.

So why did I buy this, seeing as I already have two current liveries (both GJ)? Well, I flew this exact registration between Sioux Falls and Las Vegas. I'd been worried about my flight getting canceled that day because of a huge storm system crossing the US - it was a cold, druery morning heading out, but fortunately I was wheels up a few minutes early. This is now my fifth model that I have of a flown tail number.

This next model comes from the same friend who I bought the Cathay A35K and MIAT 789 off of - an Alaska 737 MAX 9, finally!! Released in 2019 by Gemini Jets, I'm shocked they haven't rereleased this yet, nor NG having released one yet. Considering how popular Alaska is, I think this would be a strong seller.
Only fitting I finally got this model after having flown one for the first time on this same trip - between Las Vegas and San Francisco, on N903AK, one digit off!

Also coming from my friend was this Jin Air Boeing 777-200ER by Phoenix. I have been in hot pursuit for this airline, because they're so rare and few, so when I was notified of this model being sold, I took it immediately alongside the Alaska.

I saved the best for last. This is the AeroPolaris Cathay Pacific A350-900 wearing the 80th Anniversary retro livery. It's awesome to see the green lettuce flying again, and I knew I was gonna want this model. I wanted NG, but I saw AP had already arrived at Wildcat so I decided to go for that one, also seeing as I didn't have this brand in my collection yet.

I also spotted this bird at SFO, giving me every reason to buy this for the collection. My editing isn't perfect so the CATHAY PACIFIC titles look funky.
Jealous of that MAX 9. One made a diversion to RDM today!LONG POST: The next batch of models arrived over the week while I was at college. A fantastic batch and we haven't even reached the main course!

I wonder why NG hasn’t done it, also why Gemini hasn’t done it again. That would be an instant buy in both scales!Jealous of that MAX 9. One made a diversion to RDM today!
Agreed, that's what I said while unboxing it. Needs to be done ASAP, don't care who's first!I wonder why NG hasn’t done it, also why Gemini hasn’t done it again. That would be an instant buy in both scales!

Wonderful choices! And just like that, the models from the San Francisco Airline Collectibles Show have arrived at my doorstep! I bought eight from the show which were all shipped home via UPS. About a week's travel for these birds, so not too bad on pricing. Still cheaper than to bring checked luggage

The last model I bought at the show was the Prime Air 767 Phoenix announced a few months ago. I spotted this at the ADI table ran by Mike Chew and snagged it within the $40-$49 bracket. Big win considering older releases go for double or triple that!

Retro models were abundant at the show and I got quite a handful of them. The American Eagle Dash 8 and Northwest Airlink Shorts 360 were less than $40 each from a guy who was selling a bunch of propliners. Unfortunately Cactus arrived with a broken main gear, something I did not notice while at SFOI also got the Sun Country 727-200 from the same table. The TWA 727-100 came from Mike's table.

Then for some other snags: I first picked up the United 777-300ER with the Sydney WorldPride sticker for around $50. Generally I don't care about stickers, and as I didn't see another United 77W Evo at the show, I was happy with this one. The Cathay A330 is hugely beneficial for East Asia and was the third Cathay model I got in relation to the trip! And of course I snagged the JetBlue A220-300 new livery. Still got plenty of new GJs to buy but those will be bought at a later date.

Overall the show was amazing and I had a blast! I encourage you to hit up your nearest one-day airline collectibles show to show support!
