Show Your Latest 1:400 Purchase

There are few regimes as vile as the North Korean dictatorship, but my policy on this has always been to still buy airlines associated with horrible administrations (if not I wouldn't be buying much US stuff nowadays ;) ) while at the same time not shying away from saying how nasty they are. Of course, there's always the 'keep politics' out of models crowd. They make me smile, since there's few areas more political than aviation history. Anyway while still finding the Pyongyang gangsters detestable, with the addition of this recent Phoenix Il-62 I've got 2 CAAK Chosonminhang aircraft in the collection. P-618 is one of 5 Il-62Ms delivered to NK. It looks like 4 are still in service, including this 1985 build. Nice model.

JC Wings British Midland International (BMI) Boeing 737-400 G-OBME.
This aircraft was involved in the Kegworth air disaster in 1989. Flight 092 suffered an engine failure, pilots then shut down the wrong engine. The aircraft unfortunately stalled and crashed while trying to make an emergency landing at East Midlands Airport.

Here are my recent 3D Design Deck arrivals, I am quite happy with them.

Nexus Airlines De Havilland Canada DHC-8-400 VH-8XS.
This small airline does regional flights from my local airport, so it’s cool to finally have a model of it!

I've been a bit quiet the past few days as I've been rearranging my Chinese cabinets to make some more room for B-reg goodness. I've got quite a lot coming from taobao at the moment - mainly Aero Polaris, Geministar and C Models. This A330-300 from NG Models just arrived though and I noticed that NG have modified their A330 to remove the standhole. Not sure what I think about these overwing stands...
