Show Your Latest 1:400 Purchase

My first arrival of 2026:

Aeroclassics - Airbus A300B4-2C - Varig - PP-VNE
(BTW, the variants of the A300 are somewhat confusing to me. I thought the A300B4 had only 100/200 variants, but then this 2C shows up...)

It's a decent model, despite being an old mould from AC. Fortunately, no issues with the livery except the blue, which is a bit too dark but nothing serious. The quality control is what you'd expect from AC: the right stab was loose and quickly fell off. A tiny drop of glue and the problem was quickly solved. The engines and pylons also don't seem to fit too sturdily, they wobble quite easily and I'm afraid they might fall off if enough force is applied. The wings were also slightly bent, although not too much.

Got this one to replace my custom version, which is based on a Dragon Wings donor (Carnival).
The custom work is actually good but there are some flaws aswell: the belly should be in matte grey instead of metallic. The decals are clearly brighter than the AC livery aswell!
And also, it seems to me that DW used an A300-600 mould instead of A300B4. The underside of the tail area is quite different and maybe there's a slight difference in length...

First model of 2026!!!

I know that I’m not posting so much in this topic… I would like to change in 2026 :)

Photo sent by my wife who opened the package. Fortunately, the box is in excellent condition. I couldn't find it in Europe, so I had it shipped from the other side of the world.

I wanted the 741 N747PA, but it's sold out everywhere, so... I 'settled' for the N733PA, the first 747 delivered to Pan-Am!

What can I say? I hope to enjoy it when I get back. I can't wait! it must be a wonderful model...

I'm honoured to have it in my collection!

...and what about the artwork? AMAZING!

Latest additions to the Japanese fleet.

Phoenix ANA 767-300 (with winglets and air Japan titles)

A very rare and helpful model to the fleet. Got this on eBay from a mutual friend, will help with Japanese Airports, surprising quality for an older phoenix release.

NG Zipair Tokyo 787-8

Got this one in the exchange from JetCollector. Great quality model, my second Dreamliner.

Phoenix Solaseed Air 737-800 (Exeggutor livery)

The wheel was broken off and was missing. Besides that it’s a great model. Mould isn’t the best (nose seems a tiny bit off) but I’m not complaining. Solaseed is an incredibly hard airline to find.

Just got two aircraft model. The first one is a second-hand rare model — the RAF Vickers VC10. This is probably the most recent VC10 model release, though it dates back about ten years. Interestingly, even though it was produced by GJ, according to yesterdaysairlines.com, they used a Jet-X mould.
As for the model itself, there aren’t any obvious issues. However, perhaps due to being stored by the seller for a long time, there’s quite a bit of dust and dirt on it. Fortunately, the aircraft is gray, so the grime isn’t very noticeable.1000050841.jpg1000050842.jpg1000050843.jpg
The other aircraft is EVA Air’s 767-300ER, B-16688. This model was released by the retailer Real Flight, which happens to be the seller I purchase from most often, and it uses Panda's mould. This mould has already proven its top quality, so there’s no need to elaborate. Overall, it’s a model that fits perfectly with my collection focus and is of very good quality.1000050844.jpg1000050846.jpg1000050845.jpg

Two lovely models, congrats!!!

A trio of Brasilian freighter additions that landed at the hangar at the end of December, all from Aeroclassics. VASPEX was VASP's cargo subsidiary from around 1997 until its parent's collapse in 2005. N107WA was a DC-10-30 leased from World Airways for six months from June 1997 and flew mostly from Sao Paulo to Miami. The rest of the fleet was made up of 727-200s and 737-200s. PP-SFC and SFG were both originally delivered to Mexicana as 727-264s. They were acquired by VASP in 1995 and 1997, respectively, and converted to freighters. They flew alongside at least 3 other 727-200 freighter conversions with VASPEX.

The DC-10 dates from 2009 and the 727s from 2021. I happen to know there's something VASPY in this next month's Ac set as well.
