A collecting coincidence @PeachStateAviation although mine is a proper Lan Chile :)

This frame is a 767-325ER originally destined for Aeromexico from ILFC but not taken up. Instead she spent 7 years in Chile from 1995-April 2002. Then it was off to Vietnam as VN-A763 until November 2005, when she rejoined LAN with the same rego and with whom she was fitted with winglets. In 2013 she finally did get to join Aeromexico, as XA-UTC, and in August 2015 she was off to Nigeria for Med-View Airlines, as 5N-BQN. Med-View suspended international ops in April 2018 and it looks like this frame has been in storage ever since. The model is a 2004 release by BigBird / Your Craftsman.

Been after this one for a while.

I had a look today and couldnt believe the amount of ‘rare’ models in his collection sale. Just a shame that the cost of shipping from the US is so high now..
The way I look at it is that these models for their price plus shipping on Waffle is far below what I’ve been seeing on places like eBay. For example I saw the Ethiopian 77W by PHX on eBay for “only” $90 which was around $30 cheaper than anything else that I saw. Then come the Waffle sale and it was down to standard MSRP at $50 so I had to get it again.

I just bought my first models in a long time! Let's check them out.

First up, the NG Models American 737 Max 8 from Waffle Collectibles.

I flew on an American 737 Max 8 when I moved from California all the way to Illinois two years ago, so this plane means a lot to me (albeit not the exact registration I flew on; N339SU, N338RS isn't far off though). These frequently visit John Wayne Airport (which is my previous home airport).

It goes very well with the NG American 737-800.

Now for two United models I bought from Wildcat Diecast. First, the NG Models United 737 Max 8 in the standard livery, which I've had the privilege of flying on a number of times.

And the 737 Max 9.

One interesting thing with these two models is how the color for the globe on the 737 Max 9 is a little darker than on the 737 Max 8. Personally, I think the tail on the Max 8 is more accurate.

My United collection is now up to 3. The -700 is very happy to have some new friends.

To round off this haul, the All Nippon Airways 777-300ER from Aviation400 (also from Wildcat Diecast). This is both my first model representing a carrier outside of North America and my first model from Aviation400. This model is simply phenomenal in terms of the mold and livery. The photos don't do this justice.

The ANA livery is one of my favorite liveries in the skies. It's only undergone minor changes to the titles after first being introduced in the Spring of 1983 on ANA's first 767-200.

I hadn't bought any models in a long time, not really from a lack of passion, but mainly due to the cost and using my personal budget on other things, such as travel. I hope to be able to get back into collecting a more in the coming months. I unfortunately missed out on quite a few models I wanted while I was on a collecting hiatus, like the Altitude Models United EvoBlue A320 😭 (really beating myself up over waiting on that one, but fortunately, it's an approved model on NG's wishlist, so I'll just wait patiently for NG to eventually release it).

you are so lucky to have regularly gotten the AAL MAX in my eyes, CMH NEVER gets their MAX

I need to get the ANA for my Japanese collection.
