Older pre-2020 Aeroclassics are usually a safer bet than a lot of more recent releases. N361US is a good example and a 2007 release. She was delivered to Northwest Orient in August 1965 and operated for the cargo division wearing this unusual natural metal scheme. Most of Northwest's 707s served with them for less than a decade, with the majority exiting the fleet by mid-1975. N361US was sold to Cathay Pacific as VR-HGR in August 1972. She then went on to Biman Bangladesh in 1980 as S2-ACF and Faucett Peru in 1990 as OB-1401. She ended her days in the mid-90s with the Peruvian Air Force.

Looking good in bare metal! 😍 a very cool looking model.

First big bummer of the year for me! the V stab is an easy fix but the engine doesn’t fit the way it should so I contacted the store. Hopefully I can send this one back for a replacement…

IMG_4726.jpeg

Also of note- This is the second GJ Delta regional to arrive with two of the same main landing gear, just one flipped around. First it was my CRJ900 and now this one. I don’t understand how that isn’t caught in factory. The model site very sideways on flat ground!! has this happened to anyone else? With everything wrong with this guy it’s basically junk if I don’t get a refund/replacement :(

And you will have people praising the GJ Delta CRJ-900 from awhile back as the best release of the year in 2024 and an indicator of GJ's turnaround when they put the main gears on totally wrong :ROFLMAO:

I don't mean to be so pessimistic... They actually did a nice job on that ERJ-175.... I'm sorry you had poor luck.

GJ does stand for Glued.....Just.

Two new arrivals today, both via waffle. Still getting lucky none of these arrive broken!

First is an AA A320, N118US, by Aeroclassics. They did this reg in the US Airways navy colors which I have in my collection too, it’s awesome to get this jet in the AA colors and another one crossed off my list. This puts me above 80% complete on my Legacy US fleet I think!!

And a fun one! Pittsburgh Air Force Reserve C130H. These have been long retired now and replaced by C17s but for a hometown aircraft I had to have it, especially for the good price. All I need is the singular PIT C17 done in 400 scale and I have all of them. Hard to find though😅

A few arrivals from the recent AC releases and me falling victim to waffle...

AC,
Hoping an Air Jamaica A320 and A321 come along at some point.

A collecting coincidence @PeachStateAviation although mine is a proper Lan Chile :)

This frame is a 767-325ER originally destined for Aeromexico from ILFC but not taken up. Instead she spent 7 years in Chile from 1995-April 2002. Then it was off to Vietnam as VN-A763 until November 2005, when she rejoined LAN with the same rego and with whom she was fitted with winglets. In 2013 she finally did get to join Aeromexico, as XA-UTC, and in August 2015 she was off to Nigeria for Med-View Airlines, as 5N-BQN. Med-View suspended international ops in April 2018 and it looks like this frame has been in storage ever since. The model is a 2004 release by BigBird / Your Craftsman.

There are a handful of times when I've sold a model because it didn't fit my collection criteria only for my criteria to expand later and realise I shouldn't have sold it. This Vickers House Super VC10 G-ASGA is one example. I owned it years back and sold it in NZ, but now house colours are a significant area of interest. Fortunately, I was able to reacquire it for just £25 on eBay. This model dates back from 2006.
