My latest additions to the fleet! Starting the Japanese collection up.

I was planning on getting a J-Air E170 but it was out of stock so I got an JC FDA E170 instead.
I don’t have photos, but I also have 4 UA CRJ550s I pre ordered from eztoys that I am waiting on to ship.

I was recently able to pick up 3 more Braniff International 1970s era Flying Colors DC-8-51s to join the Red / Aztec gold example I already owned so now I have all four of the Flying Colors scheme variants: Blue / Light Blue, Green / Light Green, Orange / Ochre and Red / Aztec Gold. I haven't been able to do a whole lot of collecting the past quarter, but I was able to secure these two models from the last CRP exchange. Wonderful models, NG did a fantastic job and I look forward to more MD-80 series jets from them in the future. Maybe a widget soon?

As always, can never go wrong with an NG Tristar. This was one where I had the CRP in mind for awhile actually. My interest wasn't quite strong enough to pay full price for it, but I figured if the opportunity came to get it via CRP, it'd be an easy one to go for, and now here it is. Happy to add it to the retro collection.
Speaking of retro, I don't typically go in for many special liveries, but I do make some exceptions for retro schemes. And this Copa retro is just fantastic. As a bonus it fits my collection criteria now that Copa operate flights out of my local airport, which they didn't at the time this was released.

My newest addition is this Panda Models Southwest Airlines 737-300 in the California One livery. This plane wore this scheme from delivery in 1995 until about 2003 when it got the canyon blue styled tail. A pretty decent model! Ignore the nose gear tire in these photos, I didn’t realize it was wonky until afterwards and it’s been fixed lol
So far in 2025 I've only picked up 4 Phoenix new releases but I have as many again on pre-order. This one just ventured out of its box for the first time to join the collection after some reshuffling of my European 1990s shelf. EC-GLE in the A340 delivery colours with the black radome tip. Why oh why can't Spanish carriers produce a livery even half this good in 2025? Anyway, despite the increasing competition the PHX A340-300 is still a decent option for me. Picked up this one from Bedfordshire Diecast.

Such a great great release by Phoenix. This livery is so lovely, and the black radome is the icing on the cake.

GJ/JC's DHC-8-100/200 mold is excellent, albeit tragically underused. Luckily, among the sporadic releases over the years are two that I've seen in real life.
One of them is N365PH, a Q200 operated by CommutAir for United Express. Despite looking comically small even amongst narrowbodies, the level of detail on this bird rivals that of the newest 777 releases. Also, quite fun to photograph and set up my diorama around such a tiny model

This was such a cool release. Five Iberia A343s in 1:400 scale before this one, and no one ever thought about putting that black dot on the nose (plus the other minor mods). Phoenix is truly a crowd pleaser.
My stock is trickling down slowly but surely.

Lately, I have been getting a few models for my collection via traditional means. It felt as if it were 2019 again, when most of my orders were almost evenly split among the California Big Three. I'd even say 2009, but I don't think JetCollector was around then.
NG Models: I already have enough AA MD-80s in my collection (can you believe these things aren't rare anymore?), and I didn't really need the PSA L-1011 in my collection, but both were just too hard to pass up. I don't retail NG, so I had to get these from good ole EzToys.
Aeroclassics: They remain hard to find, even for retailers. A humbling experience... Had to go to Jet Collector for the Ecuatoriana A310 just to have it in my collection.
The 747s: These came from the "largest 1:400 collection sale EVER!!!" from Waffle. Again, by now I didn't really need these in my collection, but there was a time when I really wanted them, so I bit the bullet and just went for them, because I could. Too bad I missed out on the one true holy grail that showed up in the collection sale at a very decent price, but these highly valued 74s will do.
The PAMC 747 is the latest model in my collection. So, once again, my first and latest 1:400 models both come from Waffle. I have to say that in almost 17 years, and 70 orders, I think this is the first time that I have received an order from Temecula that isn't packed in newspaper; it took me aback. The model is a virgin also (NLG still sealed in the factory baggie), but that will be changing soon, of course. More on that later.
Herpa: I almost forgot. The United Express (Republic) E-170 was sent in error by ARD to a good friend (he wanted the 1:500 version). International returns are a pain, so he got to keep the model. Not his scale, so he asked me if I wanted it. I actually got to fly that same reg. And by now, it is classic enough that it can fit nicely in my Cont-United shelf.
Sorry, no photos out of the boxes yet; you can't have it all.

Another new arrival for me. GeminiJets US Airways A320 N109UW, a November of 2005 release. This model is ugggglyyyyyy, at least to today’s standards. The flag on the tail is crooked, the engines are a bit upwards pointing and it’s the usual 2000s gemini mould all the way around. The 2008 release fixed at least a few of these problems thankfully, or this model is just a bad batch. I really want a modern Airbus release in this scheme soon…lol. That being said, i’m happy to finally have it in my collection and this crosses off another one on my list. I’m nearly at 80% complete now! Thank you to @BoeDinger for the great model

And here’s the other one, N989HA. After bouncing between US Airways and America West, she ended up at Berry Aviation, which gave her a blank livery in classic charter airline fashion.
She buzzed around Central Texas from Berry’s San Marcos base until last year, when she began flying for Wideroe, trading the rolling Texas hills for steep Norwegian cliffs.

Today the latest AC models arrive at the airbeluga hangar as models #493-498. I'm expecting to reach #500 with the next delivery if not some of the ones on my tradelist will part. 
Now this is what I call diversity in terms of a/c types, airlines and regions. And as a German with italian roots I am very happy to finally get both the LH and AZ 727-200.
I just have to work on my ability to shoot better pictures. I think the first step is to stop using my mobile phone.
