I commissioned a guy to remove the tampo and replace it with custom waterslides. Not sure about the specific process.
It turned out exceptionally well.
In the past few months I've been acquiring a lot more secondhand models than new ones, partly because the new releases haven't been particularly inspiring. This trio of DC-9-30s have just joined the collection from 2 different sources. All are 2007 releases from back when Aeroclassics was producing a lot of beautiful releases without the modern QC and print issues. Of the 93 DC-9-30s in my collection 77 use this mould.

Picked up second-hand for under $40 USD, the Maldivian A320-214 reg. 8Q-IAN is still active with the airline. Built in 2004 originally for Iberia, it was leased to Mexicana until 2007, then returned and used by Iberia until 2012. It has been on lease with Maldivian since 2012. Notwithstanding a soon to arrive A330 by Phoenix, this is the only representative of the island nation in 1/400 scale. Model was distributed by Phoenix in 2014.

Garuda MD-11 (PK-GII) by Panda. Model of the year candidate. If you’ve even a passing interest in GA or MD-11s, this should be top priority.
KAL A380 (HL7619) by AV400. A great mould has gotten even better: aerials are smaller, and the landing gear is now packaged in a plastic tray (rather than tossed in a bag).
Singapore A350-900 (9V-SHA) by Panda. First SH-reg “regional” 359 in 1:400.
Garuda 747-400 (PK-GSI) by JC. I keep noticing how gargantuan the aerials are…
KAL A330-300 (HL7701) by Phoenix. Finally a decent rendition of this aircraft in big titles.
Cathay 777-300 (B-HNN) by NG. Cheatline color is incorrect, but it’s always nice to have a non-300er.

Believe it or not, my criteria is “SQ, GA, KE heavies.” Recent years have had many quality SQ and GA releases but almost none for KE, hence my constant yapping about KEWait! These are your Models?! You actually do collect other than KE?!!!

Hold up! When did Panda release the Garuda MD-11 and the SQ Regional A350?!
The Garuda is an exclusive model for an Indonesian retailer, as far as I know.
