Two new additions to my collection

Aeroclassics Yemenia 727-200 7O-ACY. The real aircraft seems to have only carried this color scheme/rego combination for 4 years, from 1990-94, where it would be leased out to Qatar Airways and returned in 1995 wearing the new scheme.

Aeroclassics Iraqi Air Cargo 707 YI-AGE. Older Aeroclassics models are really well made, its a shame this hasn't remained the case today.

Overall I am very glad to have these two representatives of Iraq and Yemen enter my collection. The quest to have one aircraft from every Middle Eastern nation has become shorter, with only Syria, Morocco, Bahrian, and Oman remain(the latter two can be taken in with a single Gulf Air example)

What a lovely bird! Great little model of a quite overlooked subject. This B733 looks really neat. I just wish Panda had used better cockpit windows here.
Ironically it seems that Panda's 737 Classics are having the same cockpit printing issues as Aeroclassics' 727s, despite the two having long parted ways.

I finally got JetHut's new mould, the Sichuan Airlines A319-133 B-6419, which involved in the famous Sichuan Airlines Flight 8633 accident.

The apron is a gift given by the shop. I'm of course very appreciated this. Don't asked me why I didn't buy the version with aerials...

It's not a bad mould, the wing connects are seamless, the overall shape of the fuselage is very nice, and the painting is great with lots of details. All gears are fitted with rolling wheels and properly sized hubs. For its price (¥150) it's definitely a good deal. To me generally it can be compared with Aeroclassics and maybe even Panda's mould, if they can fixed some (maybe a bit too much) problems:

-the V2500 engines are too big, almost the same diameter with CFM56s, and lack of the strakes:

-The vertical and horizontal stablizers are too small, horizontal stabs are too narrow and too sharp; the flaps actuator fairings are too long and too big:

-Tailcone is too long and slightly lack of the subtle curvatures on the actual aircraft:

Still, to me it's a beautiful model, and definitely worth its price.

So currently, I have both A319, A320 and A321:

A319 is, as mentioned, JetHut; A320 is Panda (Aeroclassics); A321(neo) is JC Wings.

-Forgot to painting Sichuan Airline's logo on the wingfence (it's not a mould problem tbh):

It's simple, but like you say at that price point it is a great buy and it is easily up to the standards of a 400 scale model from pre-2015. I'm glad to see Jet Hut are improving their products and beginning to meet the hopes I had when I wrote about them back in 2021.

You're right this A319 is certainly better than the Phoenix and JC Wings versions. Comparable to Aeroclassics but at less than half the price!

Received both orders from Westcoast and pandafox. Super happy, but one issue… my first broken wing! I didn’t notice it right out the box, but when I was moving it around to get a look at the underbelly, the left wing slid out fully. I was able to pretty easily shimmy it back in and it appears to hold even when I hold it so gravity would have it fall out. I should just be grateful it holds without having to use any glue right? 😅😅 is this considered tedious to try and claim a refund for in todays standards? Got a ton of NG Crp points 🤩IMG_3895.pngIMG_3879.jpeg

Beautiful models! I would just add a touch of glue to the wing root and carefully reinsert it so as not to get excess glue on the exterior of the model. If you're not comfortable doing that, no worries! Luckily there aren't any paint chips, so leaving it as is works equally well if the model is intended for display. Just remember that the wing is loose so you don't one day pick it up and have the wing slide out at fall from eye level to the ground.
