Show Your Latest 1:400 Purchase

I haven't cut off GJ entirely but I don't trust them enough to pre-order any of their new stuff. Need to see what the finished products look like first, because of stuff like this.
My last Gemini purchase was the Alaska 737-MAX 9 N932AK in the Orcas color scheme...and there's nothing wrong with it at all:

I’ve been waiting for this package for a long time…

I ordered them last year, and one in particular was an absolute bargain.

They are both stunning models, and I am glad to add them to my collection. A great way to start 2023, and the next arrivals will be here sometime in the coming weeks.

Wow that Qantas 737 looks amazing what brand is it?
Thanks! It’s an NG. It was a 2019 release and quite hard to find for a decent price nowadays. The person I bought it from listed it for action on eBay twice previously with no bids, before they lowered the price into my range and I won the auction. There are a few floating around, but mostly for a ridiculous sum of money. There is also a Herpa version, you might be about to find it. The reason the NG is unbranded was to get around licensing, just like with their other Qantas 737s and 787s.

this is a bit of random but is camaust.com.au legit? and is the prices in AUD or USD?

Absolutely legit. Almost every model I have ever bought was from them. The best retailer in Australia, and their website doesn't do their store justice. They have about 3-4x the inventory in-store than online, so if you are looking for something not listed on their website, email them and ask if they have it. Or you can tell me what you are looking for and I can check in-store for you next time I am there. If you are ever in Melbourne, it is 100% worth a visit. And the prices are AUD. They can be a bit pricey for recently released models, but older models are very fairly priced and even bargains!

Great thanks!!!

New to collecting and have given myself the rule of only wing mounted to the fuselage moulds, and no cradle moulds... However the 767 by JC WINGS/GJ is quite good. The seam easily noticeable in other moulds like the CRJs, is hardly noticeable as it follows the natural curve of the plane. Just coming into its gate JC's Latam 767-300 with the Olympic dreams onboard special livery.

That bird looks so nice, specially on the picture parked up at the gate, next to the Gol 737!!!

Here's my latest arrival: a custom VASP Airbus A300B2-200, PP-SNL, in VASP early 1980s colors.
Donor model was a Carnival A300 by Dragon.

This custom model was made by a friend of mine here in my city, just like most of the custom models of my collection. I know Aeroclassics had released this bird not too long ago, but I already had this Carnival A300 just waiting to be sent to the paintshop 😜

I personally love these old Dragon Wings models. I don't mind the plastic wings and I can live with the simple landing gears. Some of their moulds still rock on after all those years, and they can be found quite cheap online. Great for customs!

VASP have introduced this three-stripes livery when they had their first A300 delivered from Toulouse back in 1982. Sadly this scheme didn't last long and was only applied to the A300 and B737-200 fleet. The B727-200, which they also operated at the time, never got these colors. In 1985, only three years later, VASP unveiled a new scheme, which looked quite modern, with billboard titles and a new logo.

Here's the 1982 colors A300 next to a 1985 colors A300, which is also another custom model based on a Carnival A300. I'm very happy to have this great duo! 🥰

9V-SKA, 9V-SKI & HL7612 from AV400. Absolutely adore all three of them!

These 3 beauties just arrived today at my collection.
- At the furthest is Royal Air Maroc B787-9 CN-RAM by JC. I prefer this reg more than the recently released -RGX as RAM is the code of the airline.
- In the middle of the frame is Las Vegas Sands B747SP by NG. I once paitiently wait for this model till the Black Friday sale on a Canadian website but it ran out of stock before I could buy. I just recently picked this up from China alongside with the Moroccan Dreamliner. The model is stunning! Previously I had the GJ redention but sold it.
- Closest to our frame is Air Koryo IL-62M from GJ. The model came without the retracted rear boogey but it was fine anyways as I got it lower than its original selling price.
