Or email them and ask to return for store credit. Sometimes this works. However, you will pay for the return shipment label and original shipping will be deducted from the credited amount too. Last resort is to file a claim but risk being blacklisted

It looks like a deeper paint chip than a scuff. Fill the depth with some modeling putty or apply a generous layer of acrylic paint (recommend Vallejo). When the paint or model putty starts to dry, even out the surface to make the surface blend with the rest of the fuselage. Once dry, add a little more paint on the surface to match the color of the fuselage. It won’t be a perfect fix but will make the chip less of an eye sore

I have to figure out which gray closest matches the Continental belly as far as paint goes.

Good luck getting a refund/return from Waffle - he is notoriously infamous for his maltreatment of customers. Last time I had an issue, I was told that I am a “rude and ungrateful person”. Harsh words for a loyal customer for well over a decade

So Waffle customer support told me to put the model back together and let them know how it looks once it’s together “So they can best assist me”.

Hmm, not sure how to approach this. Once you do this, they can say that you've essentially tampered with the product which can nullify a claim if ever you decided to escalate to your CC. Usually companies have a return policy requiring the product to be returned in the exact condition it was received. Just be firm and clear with your expectations. They shouldn't require you to go the extra mile to receive assistance for something that is their responsibility to handle.
