Oh no no, missed It. What a pity.
But at Rome FCO there Is a big problem for spotters: first of all the Police, they stop everyone spotting especially close to the fence.
The second Is that widebodies usually land on runways 16R - 34L (depending on the wind), but often ATC changes runway during the approach making them landing on runway 16L - 34R and among the two runways there are about 4.5 km (by car about 5 - 7 minutes along the airport perimeter).

Maybe the most beautiful airplane i have spotted, the marvellous Thai Airways B747-400 in a spectacular takeoff from runway 25.
