Honestly for me, even if it doesn't damage, it takes away from the premium feel of the model.

Agreed, but my models are out on airports and not held a lot anymore so as long as it looks fine. I don’t like how it is kind of flimsy sometimes with plastic.

Maybe you can find something that you like more…

I have my preferences about the models, and the brand but… as far as I’m a consumer I buy what the market offer to me.
