The boss's wife said she forgot her Instagram username and password.
First time hearing that, do you talk to Sanry's brother?
PH's contract with GJ ended more than a decade ago. Also the boss of PH is a lady so I think you misunderstood with someone else about the ig story
Understandable too, as the moment they re-release it it kinda made the first release value-less already…
Like I said, Phoenix has done a number of re-releases recently. As I understand, the Iberia A340s have done very well on every run. Also, while not Phoenix, Aeroclassics is another example with some of their A300s, etc. I think they could probably get away with yet another Viasa run and it will still be an instant sellout.
There is a dilemma here:
Why should a brand care about killing the value of the first releases?
If the second-hand market is hot for a certain model, why would a brand let eBay scalpers capitalize on it when they can capture the market with a rerelease? This also benefits the collectors that are on the buying side of the fence...
... but it hurts the ones that are trying to sell, which is the other side of the argument.
Are these models high-value collectibles, or mass-produced consumer items? I think they started out as the former, but have morphed into the latter as a result of mass-production in the Far East. Large-scale factories and rare items don't go well in the same sentence. It is one of the existential crises of this hobby.
With a certain brand it is ego pure and simple. Why should a brand care about killing the value of the first releases?

Agreed but he loves hearing people squabble over old highly priced examplesTo be fair, the vast majority of their runs can be found at retailers for many years after the announcement.
Right! Which I hope is coming in next @DTcustoms !I was hoping to see a version of the Afriqiyah livery with the black belt around the forward fuselage.
I think it only existed on the A300 and A340I was hoping to see a version of the Afriqiyah livery with the black belt around the forward fuselage.

So does it mean we'll get that A340 soon?!I think it only existed on the A300 and A340
No it's not in your head. The PHX A350 isn't greatAhh my worst nightmare - a BA A350 on a reg that hasn’t been done before in theory means I should get it, but the last 1 I got from Phoenix which I think was XWBA (unsure on release date) I hated because the nose gear seemed too tall but I’m not an expert in mould quality and accept that it could entirely be in my head
Even though its not the best mould I will still get this for the fleet collection, with this release, the NGs, and the ARD version my 350K fleet will be up to 8Ahh my worst nightmare - a BA A350 on a reg that hasn’t been done before in theory means I should get it, but the last 1 I got from Phoenix which I think was XWBA (unsure on release date) I hated because the nose gear seemed too tall but I’m not an expert in mould quality and accept that it could entirely be in my head
Yeah the fleet collection is the only reason I’m buying this. Not sure how many I have but I suspect it’s the sameEven though its not the best mould I will still get this for the fleet collection, with this release, the NGs, and the ARD version my 350K fleet will be up to 8
Ive managed to pickup XWBA/XWBH from AV400 and XWBB/XWBC from Gemini, waiting for those ARD Exclusives to arrive and the NG trio to be announcedYeah the fleet collection is the only reason I’m buying this. Not sure how many I have but I suspect it’s the same
