Agreed, and hopefully they address the landing gear at some point soon. They definitely need to be shortened.Hopefully no high cockpit window this time...
Ridiculous80EUR on Aviation Megastore, this is getting out of hand.

Too late I'd say as these would need to be the first go on the tampo I'd think. Quite honestly, printed panel lines would be gimmicky overkill. I barely dare to highlight them on a 1/200 built, but on a 1/400?Are the panel lines going to be printed too?
Hard to tell, but the landing gear look a little better (shorter). Also, really keen to see this gear up option from the last picture and how that works, i.e. are they magnetic?
Landing gear still seems taller than desired - gauging by the shadow from the zenithal light sourceHard to tell, but the landing gear look a little better (shorter). Also, really keen to see this gear up option from the last picture and how that works, i.e. are they magnetic?
Looking at pictures of the Iran 747 two pack, the interchangeable gear is not magnetic, but has pre-fit double sided sticky tape. Not ideal, but it got me thinking about the gear. If the gear are plastic as they are for HX models, then they can be easily filed down on the insert side to be a more correct height. Even if they are metal, they can be filed down as well. I may try this and see how the gear height looks. I did a mod on the HX Air China 747-400 and replaced it with NG 747 gear. It looks much more accurate.
I can share some tomorrow when I’m back in town! It is not my best mod, and was overall not very easy. I did have to do some touch ups on the paint on the belly, but I think overall looks much more accurate.Do you have pics of your modified Air China 747?
