Patriot Model August release: B747-100

The nose looks a fair bit better than expected
Indeed, but the aft fuselage looks like a total mess in these pics.

How many variants are they going to do? The shown pics are neither one of the two announced but might be the "as preserved today" version.

The hump looks very promising. Maybe I will get to open the champagne after all. We still need to see it with wings and gear. Also, I'm still skeptical about the usage of the mold and availability of releases in the west.

Will Patriot be sold throughout general model retail stores around the globe?
I think it is unlikely that given they are a relatively new brand that their models will be sold widely at this point (after all these are far from their first releases) but I suspect that given the wider appeal of these particular models you will see them appear at select Western retailers, especially those with good links to Asia like WestCoastDiecast, MyHobbyHouse and a few others like Bedfordshire Diecast maybe. So the answer is probably NO at this point in time but they will no doubt be available at some stores if you are paying attention and presumably as they grew they will be available wider and wider.

Ok, I may check with Jetcollector or PandaFox, I usually buy from them

Cockpit window and front section seem to be in great shape IMO.
I'm not entirely convinced by the looks of the JT9D engines and the landing gears.
Gears look a bit too tall and shiny, quite similar to Phoenix. The JT9D engines look a little too "round" to me.

But these are quite dark photos, so I'll wait for better images. Overall, the model looks super cool!

I'd love if model makers would show clear shots of what they have. Low depth of field, half blacked out is great to hide away issues though.
From what I can see I'm not impressed to be honest.
Those engines/pylons
And that aft fuselage taper still looks weird as it did in the production shots.
Will need to wait for better images to surface.
150 units isn't much.

meanwhile, HX wings just announced the first 747-100 product (which happened to be the first prototype livery, what a "coincidence") on their CN social media.

HX Models 1:400 Scale 747-100 New Mold Product Launch

Hello everyone, this time we bring you two very special models! HX Models is releasing two classic Boeing 747-100 models at a 1:400 scale: the First Flight Livery and the Museum Livery (exclusively customized by YY-Wings).

N7470 First Flight Livery:
As the first Boeing 747 in the series, N7470 made its historic maiden flight in 1969. To capture that iconic moment, we've meticulously recreated its livery, allowing everyone to appreciate the charm of this legendary aircraft.

N7470 Museum Livery:
Today, N7470 is quietly displayed in a museum as an important witness to civil aviation history. This model faithfully reproduces its appearance in the museum, making it a must-have for collectors.

These two models not only showcase the classic beauty of the Boeing 747-100 but also pay tribute to aviation history. For those interested, be sure to check them out!

more info from comment section:
it will be available online in a about one week's time, price similar to the current 747-8 offered by YY Wings, no limit quantity (unlike 150 only for PATRIOT MODEL). also, 747-400 will be out soon as well (B-2445).

personal comment:
1. it does look like the same (base) model as the PATRIOT MODEL 747-100 in a lot of areas so I do believe they are essentially the same mould. also, from PT's recent DC tanker release they seem to have such plan of making new model by adding additional features based on existing mould.
2. the museum version has few painting differences and wing tips compare to the prototype version, only subtle. so it's more of a "find the difference" game. but anyway it's good to have variety.
3. all of a sudden the N7470 is flooding the market. but what comes after maybe more exciting. (i dont have any info other than just thinking about the possible liveries based on 747-100).

I like it! Looks better than the NG attempt and looks much better than Phoenix version, but that's not really too hard to achieve anyway :p

Any news on where to get these models? I heard Squatchy’s was trying to get them, but perhaps someone in Europe?
