Obscure Brands & Panda OEM Releases

This one was actually announced quite a while ago and I've had it on order for ages on taobao. It seems it is now available, but my order still hasn't shipped for some reason.

It would be nice if Panda sent some of the models produced by these obscure chinese brands down their international distribution networks - many people in the West would want these models. Getting them from a local retailer would be much easier than getting them via taobao.
They do a bit, when the requestor can't shift them (they recently did this with some C Models and the El Aviador Mexicana) but it is not very financially viable to do this. If I get charged $25 to make a 767 by Panda it makes no sense for me to let Panda resell them at the same price to retailers as they would sell their own products and there isn't much in it for Panda to sell other people's models without making a profit on them. All you end up with are more expensive models in the West.

I don't know exactly how manufacturers distribute and get their models to the West, but the ideal scenario would be for Panda to let the small brands utilise their contacts so that these obscure releases can be sold worldwide (not sell the products themselves). I do realise it's not that simple sadly though.
It's the shipping though. Shipping the odd few models from China as opposed to big standard orders through Panda. Plus a lot of these Chinese brands are literally run by kids using their parent's money. One brand owner I know is 15! They aren't exactly prepared for shipping internationally. Getting retailer contacts is easy.

I've got an A319 of there's on order. Their price is amazingly low but these latest models look amazing. I'm curious if that is the Panda 737 or a copy as I can't see how they can afford to sell a Panda made version so cheaplyI think Jethut can be considered part of Obscure Brands, right?
Their recently released 738 (CA/MF/MU) models all use PM mold.

These are very 'GJ' angles that make anything look good - but as @YesterAirlines mentions, these look great for what is a budget brand - curious to see more photos

It's true, but they say they use old PM mold (although I can't tell the difference between new and old

But the price is really low. Members can buy CA/MF 738 for only RMB 150.1 (USD $22) (no aerial), and MU only need RMB 159.6 (USD $23) (with aerial).
This may also reflect that the cost of producing these models is actually very low, and that most model manufacturers have simply inflated the prices？

That's interesting. But Jethut currently produces CA/CZ A321, which means they can actually make money. As for why they can make money? Only they probably know.

This is awesome. I wish JetHut could also use Panda's 767 moulds.
Their models are considerably cheaper and I'd definitely like to pick up some
