One more. This time together with YC.
Nose gear and antenna were an easy fix and probably to be blamed on me moving it around for the pic - I was just too lazy to reshoot after everything was back in place...

I have V1 of YM. The changes are so subtle, that I'll stick to V1, which is a fantastic model as well.
As for YC, if the picture is correct here, the colors, size and position of the tail logo are wrong. I'd say is more similar to YA than YC.
YC has the definitive LH colors : lighter blue and larger/bolder circle right at the center of the tail, much like YZ.( B744 ). And last but not least. the Lufthansa letters on the fuselage should be thinner as well.

So, if the airplane model is as shown in the picture, I'll not get YC from NG by now.

How did you bend back the gear?

Just like the antenna it wasn't glued in so that it just moved while taking the pictures.

The erroneous logo position for YC was already clear at artwork stage (I think I posted about) but I wanted the L2 welcome panel. Luckily I don't care too much about todays LH branding so I'm fine with it. And - thanks to the existence of YA - it is WAY less glaring than on YM/YT V1. The titles are slightly bold, yes. But hey, VC is V1
If looked at it closer, the logo position isn't correct for neither YC nor YA. Blame it on a slight design glitch on NG's mould: the leading edge of the bottom rudder section runs too high up. Consequently, if you align a logo to the rudder (which NG obviousely did here) you end up slightly too high.

But NG's general sloppiness when it comes to such "basic" detail is annoying. Maybe they need a V2 here as well?

One VERY interesting detail I just came across while unboxing:
NG's 747-8i "blank" model has a much smoother cockpit section than all their previous 748i (including the LHs)
Not perfect but at least not as way off as what they made so far.

I have D-ABYC on order and will post a comparison with Herpa's exclusive 747-8 D-ABYA (based on the JC/GJ mould).

The Herpa should be THE reference for correct artwork.

That isn't what I meant I am merely interested if their shade of blue is darker or almost the same. Nonetheless Herpa's artwork of German airliners is often better than that of other manufacturers.

To me D-ABYC looks fine in your pictures.
